Fish Extender list info: This is a list of those that wish to participate in putting gifts (purchased or homemade items) in other's "extenders" (anything hanging off the "fish" outside the stateroom door that is generally used to receive mail/etc. to your room) and receive same from others. If you have any questions about this- please feel free to email me and I will gladly explain in more detail.

I have taken over orginazing the list from Michael. Thank you for your hard work on the list Michael. Due to some circumstances I do not wish to get into Michael has resigned from organizing the Fish Extender list. I did not want the Fish Extender exchange to die so I will be taking it over.

That being said I will be listing the list below. I am only managing ONE list. I will not split the list into smaller lists and keep track of all of them. It is too overwhelming. I do not wish to exclude anyone, but I have two full time jobs and can not take on another one. If you wish to orginaze a smaller exchange please email me at Lisa@PixieandPirateDestinations.com and I will list you as a contact on this post for a smaller exchange list and cruisers wishing to partisipate can contact you directly. If this happends then you (the organizer of the smaller list) can send me a copy and I will post it here for them. If not please feel free to join this fish extender group.


FE Exchange

There was a question posted on the Disboards recently by someone asking about the origin of the FE exchange-

Yes I am the instigator of the Fish Extender üI had NO idea that it would get this big. I still laugh when I see LONG threads about fish extenders and their gifts.((The intent is to share with other DISr's. Put a gift in and if you get a gift in return that is a bonus! I always have fun passing out the FE gifts on the cruise. (My favorite quote from a guest in the hallway was.... "those things hanging on the doors must mean that there are children in the room"üü ((I am glad the tradition continues and can't believe I innocently started a phenomenon 4 years ago on the FIRST time through the Panama Canal(

The FE is not intended to be a gift exchange, thats what Secret Mickeys are for. If the thought of giving gifts to 100 cabins is overwhelming then dont, just give what you want to whom you want. Its giving not receiving....thats what Pixie Dust is all about.

REMINDER: If you have a last minute change in staterooms numbers, there will be a whiteboard at cabin 6632 where this information can be relayed to other participants. Maybe a good idea to check this board before delivering your FE gifts, postcards, candy or scrapbook items.

Scrapbook Exchange

For each participant on the list, you give a scrapbook item, themed for this cruise of course, to embellish a scrapbook page-not an entire page. This is an exchange of embellishments only, there is no workshop or class.

Below is a list of people who want to participate in the Scrap Book Exchange. If you want to be added to the list please email me at Lisa@PixieandPirateDestinations.com and I will add you.

Postcard Swap

You give a postcard from your hometown/state/country to each person/cabin on the list. They in turn will leave one for you. It is always nice, if you wish, to enclose a short message on the back of the postcard. You can pop this into the FE if the recipient has one, or place it directly into the fish or slip it under the door if there is no FE. At the end of the cruise, you will have a nice collection of pictures/cards from around the world from your new DIS friends!

Candy Swap

For each person on the list, you leave a small (think snack or Halloween sized) treat. This could be your favorite chocolate bar, something unique to your area, or a wrapped candy or two . They, in turn, will do the same. It is important to note how many participants are in each cabin, they may be four people in a cabin but may only one is participating, or maybe all. We dont want to cause a war because four grownups are trying to share one mini chocolate bar! LOL

I am so excited! It will be my husband and I on this cruise. Maybe some friends too. We were married on the Wonder in Nov. 2008, it will be nice to get back on the Wonder! .... This will be to celebrate our 4th wedding anniversary.

I booked this morning as well....Cabin 2550. Right now it is Hubby and me but he does not enjoy more than 1 week on the ship at a time (I could stay on forever....) so I may swap him out for a friend.....but we have time for that.

We have been on the Wonder several times and love both the Magic and Wonder....and even the Dream!!! We did the Magic's MV and the Dream MV.

Still do no know how much my cabin is....waiting for the invoice from the TA...I did not want to call and bother them as I know they are busy with bookings today.

We were just on the Wonder last month in Alaska.....going on the Fantasy in June.

Always wanted to go to Hawaii!!! But...if they announce an Eastern med itinerary next summer....I may have to switch!!!..it will be a tough decision.

We switched to this Hawaii cruise... I'm not sure who all is going yet though! LOL all I know for SURE is me and the youngest two (oldest will be almost 19 by then so probably not...) Robert will be almost 15 then and Rita will be 12.

I'm so glad they did this cruise because MORE THAN LIKELY I would have had to just cancel the first Hawaii cruise, depending on our life situation/etc. at point of pymt in full due.... this is better, gives me more time to get everything in my life straight before paying off a cruise and needing to know who is going/etc. LOL

Anyway, I moved a hold cruise from Dec 2012 to this one..

we did an inside for 15 nights on the panama canal cruise..it was just fine..dont be concerned..


DH just got home and not only is he excited about the cruise but is already planning MNSSHP in DL before the cruise, carsland and DL/DCA, staying at Gand Californian on points for 2 nights.. anyone wanna meet at DL before??
