Also, can we agree that group 4 FE is going to happen even if we don't get 10 cabins? I'm already starting to pick up a couple of things and my son isn't much into Frozen LOL!
Absolutely. I had put it under Hoping for.... when it was just the one cabin. Now that there is a real group forming, I will go ahead and drop that part of the group name.

Thank you! Did you guys do any questionEARs or just the spreadsheet? I'm sorry! I hate to ask questions before I read the entire thread, but 45 pages is kinda killing me right now! I think I'm up to page 7 (besides everything after I joined the thread). I don't think my boss would appreciate if I sat and read all day - even though that's what I want to be doing - reading, planning, etc!!

No, we did not do any questionEARs. I just worked the special questions and responses in to the spread sheet. I wanted to have everything nice and user friendly, so we did not have to remember where to find everything. As for me, I am going crazy trying to keep track of all the lists for the different activities. I have my own spreadsheet that I will be printing to bring with.
If there is anything in particular you would like to gleam from the thread, let me know, and I can direct you to the posts that would be relevant. Otherwise, I am sure that there are others in your shoes, so if you have any questions, I would be happy to answer them even if we already covered the topic.

Sure! We do not care how many participants there are. Just want our daughter to be part of the overall sharing experience. How do we get demographics on others in our group, so we can better plan what to contribute to the FEs, and how often does each family deposit to the others FE?
 

Lane Gang, Are y'all still wanting to take part in the FE?
I have you listed as part of the group (which is now at 5 cabins). In order to be able to give FE gifts, and get them , you will need to get onto the FE spreadsheet. I have a PM to send you with all of the information needed for the FE as soon as you reach 10 posts. They don't have to be big, or long. You can do something as simple as say hi, then on the next one let us all know how many days we have left, and then let us know if this is your first or 2nd or .... cruise. And so on until you reach 10 posts.

As soon as you get to your 10 posts (which it looks like you are just about there), I will send you a PM (private message) that will have a list of everything I need to add you to the spreadsheet for the FE. The PM will also request your email, so that I can add you to the doc share. Being added to the doc share, will enable you to see the list of everyone in the group, and all of their information for the FE.
As for distribution, that is a personal choice. There are no hard set rules on number of gifts per cabin, when or how often you deliver, or even who gets gifts (kids, parents, whole cabin). There are variations of each gifting style participating across our 4 groups, from those that are making 1 gift for each cabin, to those that are making gifts for each person in the cabin. There are those that will deliver just 1 time during the cruise, and then others that will deliver multiple days. The best advice that I can give you (which is the same advice I share with anyone who asks), is to first evaluate your time limit (both before the cruise, and during the cruise), your packing space, and your budget. From this, form a gifting plan that works best for your family. When figuring time, group 4 currently has 6 cabins. That will take about 10 minutes to deliver all the FE's to.
Oh, and if you have an idea of something that you think would be neat if someone gave it to you, than it is probably a good idea. Things don't have to be fancy and expensive, they just need to embody the idea of spreading the pixie dust.

If you are planning on get a lot of pictures, it is the best deal. And by a lot, I mean getting pictures with every character (individually and as a group), utilizing every photo opportunity (like formals, cruise back drop, boarding, ports of call, etc....and again individually and as a group), and getting pictures at the character breakfast.
When we go to Disney World, we preorder the photo package. We figure out, how much each photo will cost if we take 10 pictures, 100 pictures, 500 pictures. And then figure out what we think a break even point would be (for example, if I am willing to pay $1 per digital photo, and the package cost $199, then I need to make sure we get 199 pictures taken). We then make sure to tell the photographers that we have prepurchased the photo package, and we know that the best pictures are the candid ones, so start snapping shots, don't wait for perfect poses. We have done very well working it this way. Our best trip (photo speaking) had a final cost for each digital photo at about $0.02.

What are others favorite DE gifts to receive?
My favorite ones are the hand made items, that I never would have considered as an idea. I am a very creative person, and I like seeing how other peoples creativeness come out.

If you look back a page at post 914, I walked someone through how to make sure they can receive messages. This is the same place you would go to make sure you are getting notices about posts. Read through all of the setting options and select the ones that will allow you to get messages, and the one that sends you notifications about posts in threads you are following. One other thing you can do is scroll to the top of the page, and find thread tools just above the 1st post on this page. Under thread tools, make sure to click follow this thread.
 
I always get the photo pass at WDW just want to ensure it is worth it onDCL since it is soooo much more expensive! I am a photo Fanatic!;):rainbow:
