DISNEY WONDER! November 11th 2012 - Mexican Rivera Cruise! 7 NIGHTS!

Hi everyone!

I just requested to become a member of the Facebook page, so hopefully the administrator will see it.

Today is Oct. 12th, and we still do not have an assigned cabin. I was just wondering if it will show on the website under our reservation when they assign it. We are so looking forward to this first Disney cruise! It will be exciting to have new experiences on the ship. We have cruised to the Mexican Riviera many times as we live about an hour from the port, so the ship is really the focus of our vacation. We are thinking of booking the Rain Forest at least a few days, and we have made reservations for a Brunch and Dinner at Palo. We are not part of the FE, but look forward to meeting so many nice people at the meet and greet.

Soon,
Peggy :yay:

Hello everyone !!!
Here is our bio... Dave and I (De) are celebrating our 20th anniversary on Nov. 7th. After 17 years of marriage, traveling and enjoying our youth we decided to become foster parents that has led to the adoption of our little ham of a daughter Jessi. Finalized this year on May 21st, my birthday... it was the BEST present ever. Our little Jessi's start in life was fragile. Born at 26 weeks and barley hanging onto life the first three months of her life, you would never guess it today. We were lucky enough to meet her at three months visiting her daily to train with the nurses on her care and get to know our new little foster daughter. After four months in the NICU she was stable enough to come home. Two years later, we were lucky enough to become her parents. Dave was also adopted, so right off the bat she held a special place in his heart.
David works in the entertainment industry as an accountant for television shows and is currently working on Disney's Ant Farm. With myself, when we started the foster process we decided I would stay home allowing us to take in a special needs foster child.
This is our first cruise. Never thought of ourselves as "cruise" people, but with this being a HUGE celebratory year for us, we thought, what could be a better trip for us as a new family :) We are pass holders to Dland/DCA, so frequent the parks OFTEN... need to get our monies worth. Dave says I am Disney crazy, I say I love surrounding myself with happiness.

Can't wait to meet everyone at the M&G !!! With or without the in-laws, we plan to be there :)

Hi Peggy. You've been added to the Facebook group.

To answer your question, yes, your cabin # will show up on the website once it is assigned. I believe DCL also mails you or somehow contacts you (email?) once they give you a cabin number.

For single day passes to the Rainforest room, you'll need to buy those before the cruise. They only seel week long passes aboard ship. The easiest way to get a day pass is to call DCL. They cost $16 each & they will put them in your stateroom before you arrive.

We also have brunch at Palo & are looking forward to it. Our Rez is the first sea day. I think it's at 10:30.

* Just reading all the posts (backwards) and I see the FE is closed. Does anyone know if there was another group started? Thanks :)

Would love to be included in the FE if it is not too late:

Cabin #: We do not have an assigned state room yet, but as soon as I do I will post it.

DIS Name: MickTastic
Last Name: Smith
First Name: Michelle (me) Joe (husband) Devin (6-year old son)

OUR FRIENDS:
Last Name: Proctor

First Name(s): Phil (dad) Oxana (mom) Christina (5-year old)

We went on the Disney Dream last year and we had an absolute blast. We are really looking forward to cruise!

Sorry you missed the deadline for the first FE group. I do hope you start a second group. If you do post your stateroom, we might have a few extra items that we would be willing to deposit. They won't be the same as the gifts we got for everyone in our group because we completed our shopping already. Welcome to the meet thread!!

Thanks, I was wondering if "my reservation" online would show my number. They have mailed my docs to my ta, so I guess it will still not be on them, as it is not online.

I had a question about the rainforest. Is that the spa? If you purchase a day pass do you have to specify what day?

We have not made Palo or spa reservation, because we don't want to miss anything so we don't know when to make them.

My husband has booked the golf excursion in Cabo. He has always wanted to play there.

Dave and De can't wait to meet the two of you and Jessie. What a blessing. Is she as cray about "happiness" as mom?

The Rainforest Room is part of the spa. You can use your day pass on any day.

Palo can be booked after boarding. If you plan on dinner at Palo, you might want to wait until then so that you know what your dining rotation is. We are doing brunch so we won't be missing anything. Brunch is only served on sea days and does tend to sell out.

Hi Cruisers! I posted on our Facebook page too but here is a little bit about ORDisneyfans! My name is Sandee. I am 48. I used to teach school mainly Kindergarten and First Grade. Now a SAHM, though I am rarely home! LOL! I am still active in the schools as a substitute teacher, volunteer and a Girl Scout Leader, however my children and our business keep me pretty busy! I love to scrapbook and rubber stamp. I am an independent consultant for Close To My Heart.

My DH, Mark is 47. We own an HVAC business that specializes in geothermal heating sytems. We do a lot of new construction jobs. We are currently working on a large winery that is being established in our area. He recently acquired a 65 El Camino to go along with his many motorcylcles, quads etc.

We love to watch the Oregon Ducks Football games. We ride quads at the dunes about 3 hours away and love going to Disneyland with our girls. DD is 15 and a sophomore. Shelby, is a Cheerleader at her highschool, honors student and generally a great kid! She loves little kids, babysits when she can and also volunteers with the younger girl scout troops. DD 9( almost 10) Morgan is a 4th grader. She is also very active. Did Cheer last year for Pop Warner and likes to face time with her friends and make videos! She loves to do crafts and make things too. She is very shy at first but then warms up.

This is our first ever cruise! It is really hard for us to get away from our business and the girls busy schedule, though we have been to Disneyland many times the last few years. On our 25th Anniversary 8/15/2012 we decided to do something special as a family. We talked the hubs into this cruise! Mom and the girls are very excited and I think, Mark is too finally! It will be really hard for us to let go of our electronics for a week. I am hoping we can get Wifi in the ports! I am looking forward to meeting some of my Dis friends on the cruise! I have been collecting FE gifts since I booked! Not sure how I am going to get them on the cruise though! We may drive down (11 hours) but will probably fly! Less than 30 days and counting!

We received our cruise docs today, Oct. 15th that also contained our luggage tags. We still have not been assigned a cabin as yet. I see where we can write in the cabin number on the tag when we find out what it is.

Another Rainforest question: Are the only two choices either purchase a one week pass (how much is that?) or to pre-purchase some $15 + $1 single day use passes? Do they have something like a 3-day or 4-day option?

Has anyone else with a GTY been given their cabin number yet?

Thanks,
Peggy :yay:

YAY!! We are still waiting for our cruise docs. I'm so excited!!

You are correct about the Rainforest Room passes. I'm not sure how much the week long passes are but I doubt there's any kind of discount. If you want 3 or 4 days, you'll need to buy them individually ahead of time as the day passes are not sold aboard ship. HTH

We received our Docs in the mail on Saturday! :cool1: We are also waiting for our cabin assignment. I'm not sure how I will even know if it assigned unless I keep checking the Disney Cruise Planning site!

26 Days and counting!!!

Hi everyone,

We received our documents yesterday but still no cabin assignment. We booked the GTY rate. I will let you know our cabin # asap! I cannot believe how fast the time is going now!

My TA received our docs and still no cabin number. She call Disney and was told that usually it is the last three days and we may not have our cabin number until we arrive at the dock. But, like I said to her, I am sure I will be any cabin will be wonderful, because it will be ON THE SHIP:) Can't wait to get there.

I wanted to put this out there in case anyone plans to do laundry mid cruise. We just went to Target. In their "travel sized" section, they had a 10 oz bottle of Tide for $3. It says it washes 6 loads.

it's only 20 more days till the Cruise... and we can hardly wait! my DS is looking forward to this trip more then any of us! My DD has broke my budget in 4 pieces! Left me dry and now has an Disney outfit for each and every single DAY!!! Now we are working on our FE gifts, and so loving it! I cant wait to see what everybody gets!!! I am so excited! These 20 days are gonna last me for ever!

plz forgive my awful spellinningg errors... :)

I can not believe how quickly time has gone since we started planning this vacation. We are so excited! I just want to remind everyone about the meet and greet at 3pm on Sunday November 11. If you are taking part in the FE exchange, please plan on showing up as I will be handing out an updated FE stateroom list, seeing as about half of us do not have an assigned room yet. I am looking forward to meeting you all! See you in 18 days.

Anxiously aawaiting our stateroom assignment!:yay: Please post here or on FB if you get yours so we know when they start assigning them!

I am waiting right along with you:) There are sure alot of cabins still available. Inside are down to 599 for guar inside. We should all bring some friends:)

How can you tell how many cabins are left?

This big storm will probably deter anyone from booking now, though I am sure Mexico won't be affected at all by it!
