DISNEY WONDER! November 11th 2012 - Mexican Rivera Cruise! 7 NIGHTS!

When a certain percentage of a category is sold, the cruise line offers a guarantee rate in that category. (GTY) the price for GTY is lower but you don't get a cabin assignment at the time of booking. You are guaranteed a cabin in the category and could possibly get a higher category if there ends up being no availability in the category that you booked. HTH

Everyone, come on over to our Facebook page, if you'd like to. Link is in post 213 on this page. Hope to see you there!

Just wondering if you are planning on making our Facebook group private? I would prefer that if others don't mind as well.

Yes. Am doing that tonight. So far only DIS are on there but I don't want non DIS to be able to see it so I am headed there now to make it a closed group. Everyone on this meet thread may still join though.

Thank you for the list. I received it. Any ideas on gift types.

I'm not a good one to dish out advise on this as we think we may have gone overboard. Still trying to figure out how to pack all of our gifts. I would suggest small items so they're easy to pack. My second suggestion is to search the boards for FE gift ideas and to ask in the main forum. People will be able to give you several great ideas.

I could throw out some suggestions, but right now the only things that come to mind are things we are giving out and I don't want to spoil anyone's surprise. Main thing to remember is that this is all about having fun! :)

Any guarantee cabins have your cabin numbers yet? Still waiting:( It won't change anything, but would be awsome to know. My TA sid Disney mailed them to her agency and her agency will mail them to her and she will get them to me. Hope it before we leave. :cheer2:

Here are our cabin #s

See y'all at the promenade Lounge M&G

I thought prior to the meet and greet we migh each tell a little about ourselves.

I am Susan and my DH is Ron. We are in our early 60. We have been married 15 years. We have a very large blended family, which we have blended well. We love to dance, although have not done so in ages, mostly do to the afore mentioned large family. Ron is an ex Marine (although they never say ex), he is a welder and looking forward to being poor but retired. I have worked for the same DDS for over 26 yrs as his office manager. We are Christians and very active is our church. I am a lay counselor and chaplain at our church and we host a Bible study in our homes every Wed night. One of our biggest blessing is our 17 grandchildren which we love spending time with.

Okay who's next?

I'll go next. My name is James. DW is Jo. She also goes by Joanne and Joanna. We are 50ish. No kids. We love all things Disney and we enjoy traveling. We had our 20th anniversary in September and decided early this year to celebrate with a cruise. We are landlords. I am legally blind, but keep busy running the rental properties. We are also Christians but when we vacation, we do enjoy our cocktails. We are so stoked about this cruise. It's our very first of what we hope will be many! Can't believe we are exactly one month away!!

NEXT .....

My name is Alana and my DH is Scott. We are both 35 years old and have been married for almost 14 years. Our daughter, Breena, will be 13 in February and our son, Mitchel, will be 11 in January. I am a preschool teacher and Scott is a site superintendent and journeyman carpenter for a commercial construction company. We live in Alberta and hate the cold...go figure! Mithel trains Karate and Scott trains Brazilian Jujitsu. Breena is very artsy and loves to serve in Edmonton's inner city with the youth group from our church. I used to train MuayThai(Kickboxing) but I had to give it up because our family was so busy in the evenings. We love to travel. Scott and I have had the opportunity to do some mission trips around the world. I served in Germany for three months in 1995 renovating a bible camp. In 1997, I went to Honduras and worked at a mission there for three weeks. In 2005, Scott went to Guatemala with a group from our church and gifted the city of Antigua with a new playground! We feel very blessed to be able to travel with our kids while we are all young! We can't wait to meet all of our new friends on this cruise!...

James & Jo and Alana & Scott, so nice to meet you. So what are each of you looking forward to the most on the cruise? What do you do for fun at home?

* Just reading all the posts (backwards) and I see the FE is closed. Does anyone know if there was another group started? Thanks :)

Would love to be included in the FE if it is not too late:

OUR FRIENDS:

We went on the Disney Dream last year and we had an absolute blast. We are really looking forward to cruise!

My name is Kris and I'm a 35 year old single mom with two kids. I also work full time as an admin. asst. My son, Taylon, just turned 12 and my daughter, Ella, is 17 months old (haha, only a small age gap between the two). Taylon and I will be cruising, but baby girl will stay home with grandma. We are big Disney fans and this is our first ever cruise! We live in Utah and I'm not a fan of the snow either, though I've never lived anywhere else! We love our Utah Jazz! Taylon loves to play sports and recently just started lacrosse. It's been so much fun!

I anticipate I'll be spending a lot of alone time on this trip as my son is off having the time of his life in the Edge. I told him he at least has to join me for meal times and shows! :)

I am looking forward to meeting all of you soon! It's going to be here before we know it!

There's so much to look forward to. Seeing the characters, the sail away party, Palo, shows, rainforest room, making new friends. The list goes on and on. I think the one thing I am going to enjoy is getting away from the ringing phone and tenant complaints.

For fun at home, Jo enjoys playing on the computer. She likes FarmVille and games on Pogo. This time of year I'm enjoying watching the 49ers play. I've been a fan since I was probably 6 years old. I'm one of the Faithful. We belong to a PT Cruiser car club. We enjoy cruising in the PT, spending time with friends and going to car shows. Our PT is painted with murals of wolves which I love.

We are night owls, so you may not see much of us before noon. LOL We have second seating for dinner and you can probably catch us in the cove cafe area after dinner on some nights.

Kris, nice to meet you. While time alone can be a good thing, (something I am looking forward to) it is very easy to get too much of a good thing. I would love to have you join us/me whenever you'd like some company. While this is our first Disney cruise, we have cruised many times. We love to sit on deck and play games, Triominos, Farkel, Backgammon, One time I brought Catch Phrase and grabbed a group of strangers and we had a ball. At night we like to dance. Please don't be alone unless you choose to be. I will give you our cabin # when we get one.

Thanks, Susan! Nice to meet you too! I'll definitely take you up on your offer if I find myself feeling lonely

I don't think anyone has started another FE group yet for this cruise, but you are of course welcome to start one if there are also others who come to this thread that haven't joined yet. Sorry that we aren't able to add anymore to the already existing group. We are having a meet and greet at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday and would love to have you join us there!
