So how long does it usually take to find out if we get the large table?

I have no idea. (That helps, huh?) The requests are handled shoreside, not on the ship, but other than that, I don't know the who, how, when of it all. As soon as I hear something, I will let everyone know. Ah, patience... sometimes you make it difficult.

And just to clarify, it's not just a large table, but an entire private room with a wall of windows. Here's a few photos.

On another note....how do we find out what night the formal and pirate nights are? And also, what movies are playing now?

Pirate night is Thursday, at least that's what they told us when we called this week. We asked to be in Parrot's Cay that evening - which is dining rotation #3 if anyone is interested.

I just joined this group. We are going on the same cruise. Can't wait. We just booked last minute. I am going with my 3 sisters... Just a fun girls trip. Didn't go back and read thru all of this, but saw the Palo's brunch. Too late to book it on our own, well, maybe when we get on the ship. So did you get everyone you need? I would LOVE to go, not sure if you had any room left, but thought I would JUMP RIGHT IN and ask....

My last cruise we did a meet and greet kind of thing. Don't know if you had discussed this or not, but just can't wait to go...

I just went back and read a lot of the posts. Don't worry, I won't even consider asking about joining the FE gifts. I did that last year on our 5 day cruise to the Bahamas, and it was fun. But at this point nope... Sounds fun, and it was fun, but not enough time to get it together. But Palo's???? If your not full let me know. I would love too.

Well, I am guessing we are going to get the private dining room. I logged into the site today and my 11:00 Day 3 Palo brunch has been cancelled by DCL. It does not show us booked for brunch on another day yet though, but I am guessing that will come shortly......The pictures of the Palo private dining room look incredible. Very nicely done. Thanks for putting it together Dreams, and hopefully it will all be confirmed shortly.

Been gone all day and just got home. I came home to some great news!

Upon checking my e-mail I saw I had received an email stating the following: "Good Afternoon, I was able to confirm your party of 13 adults in the PALO Private Room...."

The email goes on with details and I will send a PM to IKnowDoYou, danatalyaz, MillerFamily, hwweber, and Snoopygirl with all necessary details. If you do not receive it, please let me know. There is information you need. If you have any questions, post here or PM me and I'll do my best to answer them. Please note that if you had a Palo reservation for brunch, it has now been cancelled because only one brunch per person is allowed. Since we got this one, you will no longer have your other. Thanks everyone for joining in - it's going to be a wonderful time! I look forward to having brunch with all of you.

You're welcome. You two sound like me and DH. I'm the planning committee and he's the approval or deny department. It works, what can I say. We end up with amazing vacations.

Now you have me trying to figure out if there's peanut butter onboard. I am SURE that there must be, but I can't specifically remember seeing it. Last year, there were two different schedules of what night is when, so I am not sure we can count on that. You could call, or --- our approach -- wait until you get onboard and be surprised! As for movies, you can call DCL. Someone posted the following for the cruise before ours: "Toy Story 3 (3D), Tangled (3D), Gnomeo & Juliet (3D), I am #4, African Cats, Prom, POTC - Stranger Tides - both 2D&3D, Cars 2 - Both 2D & 3D, Winnie the Pooh, The Help, Fright Night... prem-ear of Real Steel...." FWIW. If you find out different info, let us know!

Welcome! A Girl's Trip, fun! So, as noted above, we JUST found out that we got the private room at Palo for brunch. I do not know if we can add extra people, but I will check. If it is possible, we could only add one (Palo private dining room maximum is 14 people). Would you still want to join us even though your sisters could not? Let me know. One other thought for you, there should now be some open reservations because a few people had reservations that were dropped so they could join the group brunch. You may want to see if you can snag one of those!

Hello to all of you. Yes a girls trip is so great. 2 of my sisters have never cruised before. One of my sisters lost her husband over a year ago, so it will be so wonderful for her. So we are excited. I tried to book a palo online, and it kept telling me error, so I will call tomorrow.. But if I don't get thru and you have room for one???? Would that be too rude to do to them???

So sorry for your sister's loss. What a difficult year this must have been for her. Sounds like a sister's cruise is going to be wonderful for her. Not sure about the error online. Did you fill in every little box? I know it's a very specific system. Maybe the site was having trouble. As for adding one, I would have to inquire if I can do that at this point. As for it being rude toward your sisters, that's probably a question only you (and they) can answer. I have no idea what your relationship/cruise expectation is with them. Unfortunately, there is not room to add all three of you to the group brunch as there is a maximum amount and we are currently at 13. Let me know what you decide.

Your reservation has been deleted because you can only have one brunch. You are not seeing the group brunch because technically it is not YOUR reservation in their system; however, you are on the guest list (for the number of guests indicated in my PM). It has to do with their booking system.

You are not seeing the group brunch because technically it is not YOUR reservation in their system; however, you are on the guest list (for the number of guests indicated in my PM). So this time next week I'll be busy finishing all the packing!! I think my DH & I are planning on leaving here about 2 or 3 am on Sat.....heading to DLH and checking in (hopefully our room will be ready ), then hittin' the Magic Kingdom for the day!!!

Are there any must have's that you will be packing.....things others wouldn't think of.....that you could share. My DH insists on having good coffee so I have 2 boxes of the Starbuck Via packs ready to go. He's fine w/ iced and that's the only way I drink my coffee so that works for us.

Should we try to meet up on the first day and just get acquainted?? I'm game for that. I think we have a check in time of 11 at the terminal. I know we'll be ready for lunch when they let us board the ship so maybe after that....at the sail away party or something? Whatever works for everyone.

Well, looking at previous navigators, the evacuation drill is from 4:00-4:15, so we would either need to meet around 3:15 (so that we have enough time to get our families to the drill), or around 4:30 or 4:45, so that we have time to get to dinner or the show.

As for a location, on our last cruise we met on the top deck near the adult pool on Deck 9 (since most everyone was eating and/or pooling upstairs), but if people would prefer an indoor location we could meet in the main lobby (Deck 3) or in the bar area where they play bingo (Promenade Lounge on Deck 4).

Thoughts, everyone?

I'm not sure if it's changed on the Wonder, but when we were on the Dream in May, they no longer required us to bring the jackets. All they do is have you come down to your evacuation location, they check your name, a spiel is given, then we are released.
