Quick question for the group. On our last cruise, someone came up with the idea of breaking out the FE distribution so that it was spread out over the length of the cruise. Other cruises that I have been on had us do it whenever we wanted. Does the group have a preference as to what we should do? I liked the distributed model, mostly because it prevented the Fish Extenders from becoming overfilled on certain days, and it gives the kids something to look forward to every day.

If we end up doing it that way, we could do 16 groups over six nights (so that we don't have groups passing them out on Saturday night, when a lot of us will be packed (or packing)), which would give us two groups for two nights, and three groups for the remaining four nights.

Thoughts? If the group says yes, I'll create a post where people can sign up for days.

Been trying to get some packing done but I getting overwhelmed.....I'm probably bringing waaaayyyy too much!

We're doing Disneyland on Sat. and it's only supposed to be 70 degrees..... I'll take it!!!!

We don't get to board until 1:00?? Never been given a time before, we ususally just get to the pier and wait in line.. so I hope we are all done getting on and eating. I don't want to miss the greet.
I am sorry I didnt' get in earlier to do the FE, BUT it is also good , I don't have to worry about it either... It was fun, so when I read about you guys doing it, it makes me a little bit envious, But also way glad I don't have to run around and gather things. Being with 4 "Older ladies" we dont' have kids that will be looking forward to those little things... I have a cute fish extender from my last cruise that I put on the door, but.... I guess it has DH and my sons name on it, so... I guess I won't bring it after all.

YES, I want a mickey bar, I want the peeled shrimp, I want the cookies and ice cream, I want..... I want it all. So this week, I am trying to diet just a bit, so that when I gain that 10 pounds, if I loose a tiny bit, I won't be just 10 pounds heavier. Hard to do tho.

Thanks for sorting for us! By the way, just a FE tip for anyone who wants it... I find it's easier to deliver based on front, mid, and aft as opposed to delivering by floors. Just a thought I wanted to pass along.

FWIW, and it may not be much , I like the "whenever" approach. 1) Day can suddenly become very busy during a cruise and one may not get a chance to deliver gifts on the day they have 2) Someone may not want to deliver all gifts on the same day 3) The randomness of it is sort of part of the fun, imho, not knowing when or if gifts will pop up

I think it goes one step further. When you can actually board now depends on your port arrival time, from what I understand.

As for FE, no kids in our group, but I love coming "home" to little goodies and gifts. However, look at it this way, you don't have to run around delivering gifts.

Well, we ALL want on! And I think we all want on NOW!

The arrival times started a little while back. They were discussed pretty heavily here on DIS. If I can find a thread on it, I will add a link here.

As for your castaway question...
If you are a castaway club member, but others in your group are not you have two choices:

1. You can board with them through the first time cruisers line OR
2. You can check-in through the Castaway Club line and the rest of your group (your sisters, right?) can check-in through the first time cruisers line.

Oh..... That is a tough thing.. I guess I will go stand in their line, since it will be 3 of them, YES my sisters and then me.
Well, one of them is my sis in law, and the other 2 my sisters.
Hoping and praying for NON rocky seas... I want my sissys to have the BEST trip, and I don't want any of us to feel sick.. I am just so excited I simply can NOT stand it.. But I have so much work to do before this cruise.
I am a full time photographer AND I work for the Disney Stores..They even scheduled me to work on Saturday, THIS SATURDAY????? NO WAY..
Luckily I got someone to cover my shift.

So what happens if you get to the pier early? I got Palos, for only 2 of us, AND I want for all 4 of us to be able to have brunch together. I need to get there pretty early to beg and plead if they will let us have 4 instead of only 2.

Iknowdoyou - Well, we have two gifts for each child in the group and then we are giving one gift to the adults. I guess we could give all the gifts at once, but we had planned on giving the children gifts on two seperate days. So I guess put us down for whatever, we are open.

Our family is excited and I have been frantically trying to work ahead this week at work. Its always crazy trying to take a week off from work. Looking forward to seeing you all soon.

Wow....what a day! Finally got some last minute shopping for the trip done today and then came home and tried to start packing. Yup.....I just STARTED to pack. Had the suitcases out but that was as far as I got....LOL! Seriously....I am super excited!
