Thanks for letting us get included in the FE. We are me and DH, no kids.

Nice to hear from others here.

Would anyone be interested in having a little "meet" on the first day just to say hi to everyone and have a few familiar faces for seven days from the beginning? Just thought I'd throw the idea out there.

Thanks Ryan. I noticed that you own GCV as well. How long ago did you buy? We bought in 2009 and thought it was a bear to get rooms although we haven't taken advantage of the 11 month window that's a big reason! Anyway our main reason was due to the fact that at the time Aulani was still a resort that was about to break ground so we bought GCV while on DCL. At the time we didn't know that there was only 48 Villas at GCV! Come to find out that was the best decision because that's where the 11 month window comes in. So far Aulani has been relatively easy to book and my thought is that it should be easier in the future since there will be close to 200 plus Villas.

Anyway, looking forward to trading stories about GCV with you on the cruise. We are actually staying at GCV for 3 nights prior to the cruise.

Hi Slowly!

Thanks for the welcome!

We sailed on the Wonder in May for the second time and just loved it, even moreso that the first time. The ship. The cast and crew. Fellow cruisers. Every bit of it. So, we have been trying every possible way to return to sail again - despite current life issues (which make us want to be on the ship even MORE!). Finally, we just decided to go for it and that the details will all work themselves out. So... we booked. Sometimes, you just have to go for it!

I would love to join the Fish Extender happening on here. Is one person in charge of it? I wonder if I could still join in.

As for Mexico, it will be our second Mexican cruise (1st time to Mexico with DCL) and we are not even sure if we are going to get off the ship. We just want to spend another week on the Wonder.

Oh and may I just say: Chocolate Mac. Nuts... yummy! Any plans to check out the new Aulani Resort in HI?

Hi Dreams,

I like your attitude about the booking of the cruise. Life sometimes is about no regrets!!! Disney and especially DCL has that same affect on us! This has been our vacation of choice the last 4 yrs not to mention the many many times we went to DL and DW. Our kids are spoiled due to Disney crazy parents.

Believe it or not Aulani had the same affect on us as DCL! You know why? They modeled a lot of things after it! For example they have a daily "Navigator" called the daily Iwa that show activities through out the day just like DCL. The kid's club is exactly like DCL with activities which is inclusive of your reservations. The pools are incredible especially the lazy river. My DW & I sat across from each other on a two man float and said this is why we bought DVC! This may sound like an oxymoron but it felt like we left HI and went to a paradise get away!

Anyway, I totally understand your reasoning to be on DCL and let's forget about life for 7 days!!!!! Cheeeeuuuuu!

Thankfully - after following the progress of GCV on Disboards - the wife and I decided to buy our additional points there (we bought on the first day), and I've never been happier. I wish that the required points weren't so high, but the 11-month windows has been very much needed. I hope it calms down soon - it very well may if the rumored Disneyland Hotel DVC ever happens - but in the meantime I've been very vigilant with booking as early as possible.

Speaking of pre-cruise, we're going to be there from Wednesday night (the 5th) until we leave on Sunday. We should definitely grab a coffee (with the beignets they sell at Downtown Disney...yum) or a drink at the bar or something.

Well, I'm off to finish my FE goodies. Can't wait to meet you!

Sounds good! I forgot they sold beignets. Just saw a show last night that had it at Cafe Dumode(sp). Actually had it in NO before Katrina. We get in late on Thursday night. You're lucky you get there a day early! I guess less than two weeks for us until the adventure begins! Welcome home!

My friends and I sure are! We have some finishing touches to do for our FE gifts and then we'll be all set! I can hardly wait to get on that ship!

I was curious if anyone was interested in trying to get a group brunch at Palo. We were unable to get a brunch reservation for the two of us (we keep checking everyday), but if there are 10 others (18 years +) who would be interested in booking brunch in the private dining room, I would be happy to take the lead and see if there is still a date available.

It would cost $20/person (just like brunch in the regular Palo area). If you already have a Palo brunch, the private room would replace that reservation. Anyone interested? Let me know!

We are still awaiting a stateroom assignment. As soon as I receive it, I will let everyone know for the FEs. Thanks for making room for us to be included.

Hi! We are also DVC members at AKV. We just LOVE the animals and the entire setting there. So wonderful. This cruise was actually supposed to be a trip to WDW to stay at "Home," but we spent the airfare to go to Vancouver for our Alaskan cruise in May so... no WDW. (I am very aware that we are lucky to have such problems. )

Oh and I just have to say, beignets at DtD, Yummmmmy!
