I'm getting super excited - but realizing I have a LOT to do before then :rotfl:

I used my commute this morning to wait on hold to speak to Disney. The current list of movies anticipated for our cruise are as follows:

Oceans
Toy Story 3 (3D)
The Sorcerer's Apprentice
Step Up (3D)
You Again
Secretariat
Tangled
Tron Legacy (3D)
Gnomeo & Juliet (3D)
I Am Number Four
Mars Needs Moms (3D)

I think Mars Needs Moms will be shown as nighttime entertainment one night, but could not confirm this.

16 days and counting ... Much to do before then!
Heather

Thanks for finding this out! We have put off Gnomeo and Juliet and I Am Number Four, and were pretty sure Mars Needs Moms was going to be playing too. I know the cruise is expensive, but 3D movies in our area are $12 a ticket, so this will be a bonus!

Trying to scratch things off of my list, have been working on the magnets the past few days. Anxiously awaiting my FE to get here in the mail--est. delivery date is March 11.

Did anyone make a dining request? If so what & why! I'm trying to work out if I should & how I go about it popcorn::

I did make a dining request. I requested that we are in Triton's for Formal Night, just because it's the nicest of the three restaurants.

I just called DCL and told her what I wanted. She also made sure our group was seated together for dinner. She said she assigned us a table, I think.

Thats awesome & makes total sense - thank you Susan :thumbsup2

I should just ask them to put on my reservation 'what she said'

I had my TA request that we NOT have Animator's the first night, only because we have a Palo Brunch the following morning. I think that the character breakfast happens on the first sea day you have following Animator's.

I was thinking of doing this same thing. Haven't done it yet though.

I called today to ask what my rotation was and they told me I get that on board. Now that I read this, I guess I should have called to request a rotation.

Also, I was told formal night is our second night, but didn't someone else post that it's been switched to the thrid night? I'm on info overload!!

I'll call in the AM & let you know what I find out ;)

Hi all! I called DCL this week and was told formal night is day 3, Pirate Night is day 5, and semi formal is day 6.

I also got the address to ship a box, if anyone is interested:
Metro Shore Services, Birth #93A
World Cruise Center
Terminal Manager's Office
San Pedro, CA 90731
Ph# 310-514-4051

on the box write:
Your Name
Sail Date
Ship Name
Stateroom #
Packing Slip w/ a detailed list of the box contents.

The box must arrive by 3pm the Thurs before our sail date (3/17)

It's getting so close... time to figure out exactly how much we can take, and if we'll need to send a box. The FE's are fun, but they take up a lot of space!

I'm am looking forward to the meet up and meeting all of you!:dance3:

I don't get it...when I called they told me Formal Night on night 2, Pirate Night on night 4, and Semi Formal on night 6. This is so irritating!!

I think that they had originally said that before they started traveling the two different itineraries, and they determined that it worked better to have it the new way.

So the new way is formal night on night 3? I just saw a trip report that had itinerary A and they had night 2 formal. Usually I wouldn't care, but my parents have Palo for night 2 and we would prefer to have formal night together.

OK... I just got off the phone with DCL and I was told that Formal night is day 2 on Jan -April Mex Riviera cruises, and night 3 on Mex Riviera cruises Sept and later....

Also, Jan-April Pirate night is night 5 in Cabo, and Semi-Formal is night 6....

Also wanted to mention that they should be having either a Tequila or Margarita tasting and that they don't have it set yet, so we need to check the daily Navigator for info....

I believe the DCL agent looked on the computer for which day was formal night before she set our dining rotation. I hope she did, but if she didn't, it won't ruin the cruise. I was in debate about requesting the rotation, but thought I should go ahead and do it.

Thanks for following up! It sounds like day 2 is probably the day. I need to call to make sure all of our rooms are linked for dining. Any other questions people need answered, I can ask for you. I'm sure I'll be on hold for a while :)

I read about the Mixology tasting and that's the one I really want to do. The tequila/margarita one sounds great too.

I bought some magnetic paper and want to print some Disney pictures tonight for our door. Have any of you used magnetic paper or did you attach magnets to the back of pictures?

I used Staples magnetic paper. I don't know how well they''ll stick on the doors, but they printed beautifully.

I've used magnetic paper from Staples and it worked great! I LOVE having my door covered in magnets! I always pick one magnet from previous cruises to put up as well. I know some people have had issues but we've never had a problem in 5 cruises of anyone taking them. Not even on deck 2 near the tween club.
