Disney Wonder March 20th 2011 sailing

We lived in Whittier twice! Once in the 90's and again in 2004/2005. Then we moved to Glendora, and then San Diego.....

LOVE San Diego. Everyday is like vacation when you live down here.... The only way I'd move back up is if my DH got a job with Disney :thumbsup2 We have that agreement, so he's go this eyes and "ears" open. :yay:

That's too funny because my DH works for Disney! Where about in Whittier did you live? We are off of Whittier Blvd. near Whittwood.

We lived off of Beverly and Greenleaf. Close to the Uptown area. We also lived near Norwalk and Washington Ave..... What does your DH do for Disney?

Bookite...... would you be in charge of our first gathering? Several people have mentioned that they would love to have a meet-up early on.... maybe our first evening aboard since everyone is excited and there's not too much going on. I'm thinking after the sail away party, and before main dining? What do you think? Maybe you could pick a location, and time. What do you think about a scavenger hunt for the kids and families who board early on.... and we could compare our lists/findings at the meet up? How about a big bucket of candy at the end for all who participate...just something fun....

I love the idea of a family get-together on the first day, my kids would love to meet other kids at the beginning of the cruise.

Hi everyone!

I am trying to stay on top of things but am not doing really well. I have been so busy! If you would like me to be help with the scavenger hunt or the FE...just let me know. Also..not sure if anyone is interested...on our 2008 PC cruise..we had a PJ breakfast...just showed up to a sea day breakfast in our PJ's..everyone had fun...let me know if anyone is interested!

I am in too!!

The kids are off visiting grandparents with their dad, so I can make fe gifts and my friend's fish extender without a ton of questions. YAY!!

I'd tell you all what I'm making, but that would spoil the surprise.

We have two families whose reservation will be canceled today. They have two rooms with 3 in each room. If anyone who was trying to get rooms for friends contact me via facebook in our group dis amigos fiesta cruise. I also have a facebook account for dis Amigos

Anyone else waiting for JetBlue to open up booking for March??

I love Jet Blue, but we have a free ticket for South West so unless I use it before then we'll be on South West. I'm flying to Long Beach on Jet Blue on the 22nd for a Carnival cruise. :yay:

Hi!
I signed up with this group in June and then have not been on this thread since then. You all have been chatty.

Toescat can you update my name and cabin mates? Can you add my Disname: Catwoman 25 and then delete the extra members of my group(my family is me, my DH Chip, DS Christian, DD Catrina. I am trying to get the other members of my travelling group to sign on to our thread. Thank you!

I will be celbrating my 49th birthday on this cruise!!:cool1::cool1: This is definitely the best birthday present I have every experienced!

I am looking forward to getting to know you all better over the next 7 months!

Hi Catwoman 25,

Glad to have you. AND glad to see another birthday on board. My DH will be celebrating his 34th on ship, and my DS will be celebrating his 6th! Also, it will be our Anniversary of 8 years on board...

log on often.... we're planning lots of fun and tips for eachother.... Talk to you soon.

We just had an a-ha! moment when we realized that our cruise is 2 weeks after my husband turns 50! So we have turned this into a big celebration for his birthday :yay:

We've decided to just bit the bullet and drive. Not sure how it's going to work, but in crunching the numbers it comes out to half the cost for us to drive, even taking into account three nights in a hotel (one on the way down, one the night before, and one on the way back if we need it, which we probably won't, we'll probably just gun it all the way home that Sunday).

It would be nice to fly...

We thought about driving as well but I don't have any time off before or after the cruise. And, any more than 2 hours in a car and I am one cranky mama! I hope that once JetBlue opens up those dates, they still have the $199 fares from Portland (cheaper would be even better!!)

We'll be joining you on the 5. I have a bit of a lead foot so it goes by pretty quick and no need for hotels. The kids will end up missing one day of school, but I'm pretty sure they're willing to sacrifice to go on the cruise. See you on the road.

Well heck! Maybe all of us Pacific Northwest cruisers should rent a 15 passenger van and carpool :rotfl:!!

Hello all!

We booked this cruise during KSF, but I've been too busy to post on this thread yet. We will be myself (Christine), my DH Stew, DD14 Rachel and DS 11 Kyle. We have friends in another cabin sailing as well with their DS 10. We booked this and haven't told the kids yet. Originally we thought we'd give it to them for Christmas. Today, the men of the group thought it would be a good idea not to tell any of the kids until we pull up to the ship!!:scared1: Oh my word. I am not sure I can keep it a secret that long. For our first Magic cruise, I kept that one a secret for over a year and gave it to the kids for Christmas. But still I had 10 months to chat about it with them!

We'd love to join the FE group, we've done it on our previous 3 DCL cruises and will do it again on the Wonder in November. :goodvibes Not sure if our other cabin will want to join or not, they're not on the DIS.

Looking forward to getting to know everyone!

Christine

Hi All, I have booked our first cruise for Spring Break! It will be myself, my husband and 2 daughters, 5 and 3. I don't think we'll tell the girls before we go, I couldn't handle the daily 'how many more days' for 200+ days... We are planning our first family trip to DL before and then the cruise. They are going to have so much fun, I can't wait to see their faces! :lovestruc

Welcome to the group. It's so special with the little ones at Disneyland, especially their first time. :cloud9:

Just wanted to say hello. My name is Katie .

I'm booked for this cruise with just me and my 2 DD's (ages 14 and 2). My 15 your old son may go, but the cruise is booked full and our room right now only sleeps 3. So if a 4 room stateroom opens up before the trip my son will be going.

So is there a list of who's on the cruise? I looked on the first page and didn't see one. I haven't had time to read back to see if there is a list :confused3.

I'm interested in FE gifts if one is going to be started. Since I'll be the only adult in my party, I'm also interested in meeting up with some people to eat at Palo.

Excited about the cruise and look forward to meeting new people :).
