Disney Wonder Hawaii Sept. 2015

:cool1: I LOVE all of this chatter about a cruise that doesn't exist!! :banana: I am hoping for it to become a reality soon!! I would love a RT from Los Angeles, but with the chatter and port schedules I will opt for the return from Hawaii hoping it stops in Los Angeles to drop me off!!

Well, not exactly Customs. But the PVSA would have a say in where you can disembark the ship.

On a one way cruise from Hawaii, the cruise would have to end in someplace like Vancouver, Victoria, or Ensenada. If the cruise is Hawaii-Ensenada with a stop in LA (or San Diego) prior to Ensenada, you cannot disembark in LA (or SD) due to this law.

I think they mean that it ends in Los Angeles so that it is closer to home.

I have the same wish. I loved the MR and Pacific Coast cruises because it was so close to home. San Diego means having to drive a lot further and pay to leave our car somewhere. But still better than FL :thumbsup2

Ah ! Got it. Well I'm hoping for a RT out of LA! No airfare. Worked wonderfully for the Oct 2012 trip.

Yep, I know that. ::yes:: I would want round trip anyway (no flights at all, LOL). It is probably all just wishful thinking anyway since they seem to be using San Diego now.
 
I'd LOVE for it to be one-way!! We are planning a trip to Aulani in 2015, so it'd fit perfectly with our plans. Hawaii for us would probably be a once-in-a-lifetime experience, so I'd want to be able to spend more time at the island or Aulani.

So I would opt for the Hawaii to Vancouver (?) then hopefully a Vancouver to Los Angeles or San Diego reposition before heading through the Canal. I don't see them ending in Ensenada as I think the port is not set up to handle Disembarkation of passengers. Either way, I WANT TO GO!!!!!! :dance3:

So you're thinking a Hawaii-Vancouver; Vancouver-San Diego; San Diego-Port Canaveral? B2B2B? Wow, that's a long cruise.

And, actually, there are cruiselines that do (or did) disembark passengers in Ensenada on Hawaii one-ways and bus them over the boarder to catch planes.

I think you could do a Hawaii to Vancouver to CA to Port Canaveral b2b2b, but not a Hawaii to Vancouver to CA b2b. The 3rd leg that goes through the Panama Canal stops in a distant foreign port (usually Cartagena, Colombia), whereas the b2b travels between 2 US ports (Honolulu and a CA port) without making a distant foreign port stop -and you wouldn't be allowed to disembark in CA. However -you're probably looking at two 10-night Hawaii cruises and a 14-night Panama Canal cruise if you do all 3! :eek:

We have some on our 7-day Norwegian Fjords cruise who are doing B2B2B transatlantic, baltic, norwegian fjords. I think it ends up being 28 or 29 nights too! (Personally I'd love to do that, but financially and time wise, just not going to happen, as it is I had to trade Hawaii for Norway...).

You're right. For some reason I counted two one-way cruises to/from Hawaii (instead of just one) and left out the quickie from Vancouver to CA!
 
Well I look at it this way, if DCL offers one ways to Hawaii I won't be going and will just save that money. I don't want to pay the airfare to fly to or from Hawaii just for a cruise. I can't afford the 29 day trip (although it sounds heavenly!) and won't keep my son out that long anyway. Besides, I loved the straight 2 weeks on the ship. It was a trip of a lifetime. Pure heaven. I might do the PC instead. The ship is pretty much the destination for me most of the time.
