Disney Wonder Hawaii Sept. 2015

I don't believe Puerto Rico is considered a foreign port.
But Hawaii and the Panama Canal would be wonderful.
Just wish they would put it out already.

We are going out of town May 22-27, hoping that nothing is released then.
I need to be book day 1.

It must classify as a "foreign" port in a sense, or the San Juan to PC repo in October would be illegal.

Or Puerto Rico. I still think they might do the Panama Canal cruise starting in Hawaii and ending in San Juan, followed by some Southerns. It would be a long cruise though.

I thought of that a while back as well. It will be interesting to see if that happens.

Actually, cruises that have one end in Puerto Rico are exempt from the PVSA rules.

EXCEPTIONS

Transportation of Passengers Between Puerto Rico and Other U.S. Ports—46 U.S.C.
§ 55104

An exception to the PVSA permits non-coastwise-qualified vessels (vessels not
qualified to engage in the coastwise trade) to transport passengers on voyages between
ports in Puerto Rico and other U.S. ports until qualified U.S. vessels are available.

If the cruise starts in Vancouver, will it follow the west coast down and cut across or go way out in the ocean and down, I know this is a dumb question, just wondered if you could see the west coast as you was cruising down or up from Hawaii?:boat:

The cruise would probably be the straightest line between the last mainland port and the fist Hawaiian port.

I have done Los Angeles to Vancouver twice and we weren't able to see the coast on either trip. If the ship leaves from Vancouver it is going to make a straight line to Hawaii.

I did RCI r/t and did not see the lights of the coast after the first night. You can look on the map in your state room to see where you are.

When we did LA to Vancouver in 2011 one of the crew told DH that we will not see the coast until we get close to SF and then not again until Victoria. It has to do with the type of fuel they have to burn when closer to coast and enviromental inpact. Unfortunately to fuel is much more expensive than the "at sea" fuel. So that is why they don't sail real close to the CA coast.

I know this is not related but how do I get rid of this old ticker? I'm not good at this computer stuff....:sad2:
