Disney wonder - departing San diego boarding and departing?

The Wild Animal Park that @mhorgan65 is referring to is the San Diego Zoo's Safari park. They renamed it quite a few years back. It is a great park (parking is not free there like it is at the Zoo). But its my favorite animal park I have ever been to.

Native San Diegan here! :)

Can you or anyone else recommend any "little hole in the wall" places to eat around port? Preferably not chains and not expensive.

Thanks

Filippi's Pizza Grotto and Las Cuatro Milpas (not at the port but near by and the most authentic Mexican Food any where...check them out on yelp)

Las Cuatro Milpas is an awesome place, but they are cash only and only open till like 3 PM. The lines can be long, but if you come at the right time, then it is not bad. The line at that place does move.

Here is another one! Carnitas Snack Shack is supposedly good and near the port. Las Cuatro milpas is good if you have a car or Uber and what not. Their tacos, rolled tacos, tamales, and the beans are awesome. I love their Chorizo with Beans and rice. Everything is really cheap. Cash only is not bad and there is a nice Fruit store that sells nice fruit drinks as well as Fruit salad. It depends on your budget and you can google for Cheap eats. I still have not discovered all the hidden gems of San Diego, but that is probably to be expected when on public transit. I really like Horton Plaza and Gaslamp. Do you need Kid friendly places. Seaport Village is nice and so is the Gaslamp. I hear that Seaport village is scheduled for redevelopment which is designed to make developers a lot of money.

I have had Filippi's pizza at Petco Park and it was ok, maybe not the best, but Pizza is ok even if is bad. I do not usually go there often, but their pizza had a lot of cheese, but of course Ball park pizza is expensive.

Kansas City BBQ is also pretty well received, but I have not been there, so I cannot tell you how good it is. However, it was featured in the Movie Top Gun and not too bad from the port. Sadly, Anthony's is closed in Downtown to be replaced with a Brigantine and some other concepts like Ketch Grill and Taps and Miguel's.
