Disney with two broken arms - (Final Day 1/23)

Hey.. I just wanted to say HI. I've been reading your TR... love it!!! Your family is absolutely beautiful.. I love how your girls match and all the planning you've put into your trip. Dbf and I used that secret path at AK and there was NOBODY on it.

keep up...popcorn::

I think you did a great job on your hair. Sometimes mine looks like that and I'm not injured on both arms! :rotfl: Great update! I'm glad you liked Boma. I have yet to eat there. We don't eat at a lot of table service meals when we're at Disney. Since reading the DIS though, I want to eat at a lot of places now!!!
Thank you for sharing. Can't wait to keep reading!! popcorn::

The next morning I woke up early while the family was still sleeping. I made the executive decision while everyone was sleeping that I would not wake them early for our day at MK. We had plans to see Wishes (fireworks) that evening and knew it would be better if they were allowed to sleep in rather than come back for a nap. I was actually able to make myself presentable and take a nice leisurely walk around PC in the morning. I went to Classic Hall to get myself some coffee and sat down by the pool to people watch and relax. Boy are those times nice. When your around your family 24-7 it’s great to be by yourself for a while.

The family didn’t get up too late. We were actually in line for the MK bus at 9 a.m.

Why so sad Faith?

We ofcouse made our way straight for Dumbo. The line took only about 5 minutes.

Next Winnie the Poo!
DisneyWorld2008329.jpg

DisneyWorld2008330.jpg

And Peter Pan! It was a nice calm morning w/ fairly short lines.
DisneyWorld2008332.jpg

DisneyWorld2008333.jpg

After that DD7 really wanted to ride Snow White’s Scary Adventure but DD4 had no interest in riding anything w/ the word “scary” in it. DD7 and DH went to ride Snow White. I haven't seen this but DD7 didn't seem to be too scared by it.
DisneyWorld2008334.jpg

While DD4 and I got on Cinderella’s Carousal. I love Faith's silent grin on this ride. :goodvibes So cute! When the ride was done we just got off, walked around and got right back on for another ride. I love September crowds!

We were a little hungry and so went to Cosmic Rays for lunch. Boy was it crowded in there. Seemed like everyone in the park was eating lunch there at the same time. DH stood in line for quite a while for our order while the girls and I wandered around until we found a free table. We did finally find a table and waited quite a while for our man to bring us our trays. Poor thing had to take two long trips with two trays to bring us all the food. Here’s the one picture we have from lunch. Man we ate WAY too many sweets on this trip.
DisneyWorld2008335.jpg

When we got done eating we stood up to go and my video camera was not on the floor by my chair where I had set it. DH and I were looking all under the table and around us and were sure somebody must have snatched it. (It was bran new). At the same time another family was trying to get our table. I wanted to yell at them to give us space so we could stress but I reserved myself. Low and behold I look at DD4 and she's just standing there w/ the video camera hanging around her neck.:rotfl2: Shew, that was a close one.

Up next:hourglass: What do you mean you forgot the HDDMR tickets.:scared1: Zip-a-dee-yeah!

Yes ma'am it's hotter than ____ over there. I'm looking forward to AK in December. Of course my luck...it'll still feel like 90 that day. It didn't get cold 'til January last year around here. Did I ask you already if you have a My Space? You need to post a fam pic over on my trippie still! Can't wait to see what's next!

O.K. I'll go post a family picture.:thumbsup2

You must have gotten your Photopass...I see those pics coming up now...and let me say...the one you put up on my TR is sooooooo cute! I can't wait to see the rest of those. :cutie: The girls black dresses are so pretty. I love the way you dress them alike. I dress my boys the same too. ;) I would have flipped about the camera. Thank God your little one had it around her neck the whole time. Very close call. My fave pic this time is of your little one eating the chocolate. I love pictures like that! Great update!

Loving the report - just found it and working my way through... I will be there in about 4 days and can't wait!

Well actually, neither. :lmao: I bought the dresses from a retail store. I did have one pair of dresses made that the girls will wear later in my report. Yes, even just a little time alone makes a big difference.:thumbsup2

After leaving Cosmic Rays we continued into Tomorrowland. We first rode Buzz Lightyear. DD7 especially loves this ride. I don’t take my score too seriously but DH does. I don’t know what his score was but it’s always WAY better than mine.

DisneyWorld2008341.jpg

The girls couldn’t resist this photo op.
DisneyWorld2008342-1.jpg

Next we went to Tomorrowland Transit Authority. I really like this ride. It’s relaxing, has great views, and it’s neat to ride through Space Mountain.
DisneyWorld2008343.jpg

DisneyWorld2008344.jpg

Next DD4 really wanted to ride Astro Orbiter. We’d never ridden this ride. DD7 was really apprehensive about this ride because of the height. This ride really is high. It is also much faster than the average Dumbo ride. DD4 LOVED it. DD7 endured it but probably would not do it again. Talk about great views!
DisneyWorld2008345.jpg

It was about this time the DH and I were talking about HDDMR at 5:00. We planned on staying at MK and catching the ferry over to Ft. Wilderness for the show. I really think it was just a lack of communication. You see I am blessed in that DH lets me plan almost everything and just goes with the flow. I am even more blessed that he keeps us organized while there. He is in charge of all paper documents, receipts, etc. As long as he is in charge of them they will not get lost. Somehow, I had assumed that he would bring the receipts for HDDMR with him but unfortunately he did not. The way we found this out was when he asked me mid-day where we were eating dinner. So, poor thing, he really did have an adventure trying to rescue our tickets. I’ll get to that soon.

It was about 2:30 and we decided we’d ride Small World before DH left to go back to the Pop and get our tickets.
DisneyWorld2008347.jpg

Man, that is a long ride. We love it just because it is a classic but you forget how long it is. Both DH and I were guilty of falling asleep through out the ride. I managed to snap these pictures through my intermittent snoozes.

DisneyWorld2008349.jpg

While both of us were pretty tired already the girls were both plenty rested. I was worried I would not make it through the rest of our long planned out day.

When we got out of Small World it was about 3 p.m. (parade time). Our plan was for DH to go back to the Pop. Get the tickets and meet us in front of ferry by 4:20. As we were riding Small World he was worried about getting out before the parade blocked his exit. He did end up having some trouble but I’ll tell you what the girls and I did while he was away first.

Since it was parade time we decided to make our way to Toontown while most kids would be away. We’d never been to Toontown before. First I stopped and got the girls ice cream. It must have been hot because the ice cream was spilling all over the place by the time we made it to Toontown. I stopped to clean up the girls right next to the face painting. The girls noticed it and wanted their faces painted so I thought “why not” we were just trying to kill time anyway. I didn’t want to do anything too significant that DH would miss. So, the girls each got their faces painted Minnie style to match their dresses. Too Cute!

We then decided that it would be super fun to get pictures with Minnie since the girls were all painted up like her. DH had taken the camera with him. Thank God for photo pass photographers! We found out Minnie was with Mickey behind his house so we toured Mickey’s house and got in line to see the famous twosome! This was a great time to get in line since a lot of people were still watching the parade. The line looked long but moved really fast. Mickey just must be able to be at more than one place at the same time. (Wink, wink ;) ;) ) Soon we were steps away from the Duo. I really prefer them in their normal attire so this was great.

They seemed to be giving good interaction to most people but we definitely got the best interaction I saw. I recorded most of it w/ the video so DH could see. Minnie pointed out both the girls’ dresses and gave them each a big hug, as did Mickey.

DD7 carries around a HUGE pen for the characters which usually gets some sort of acknowledgement from the characters. What was neat about this particular character greet was that the photo pass photographers played along which I’d never seen. There were two of them. One of them told Mickey to watch out because Minnie has a weapon now (the pen). Minnie held the pen up and Mickey backed away toward us. Minnie walked up to Mickey held her hand and kissed him and they walked back together. Then Mickey held out his small pen for Minnie to sword fight. The girls were all smiles and giggles the entire time. Here’s just a portion of the video I took.

When it was time to take pictures Mickey fixed DD4’s hat first. She still talks about that today.

I had checked the bag for a sharpie for my cast but could not find it. So I was a little disappointed that I wouldn’t get their signature.

I turned the camera off and was getting ready to leave when we got a little Pixie Dust. pixiedust: One of the photo pass photographers pulled out a sharpie and said, “Can we ask a favor or you Mickey. Could you please sign this woman’s cast?” How wonderful, I was so excited. Then, the other photo pass photographer pulled out a red sharpie and said, “here Minnie here’s a red pen so you can sign in your color.” How sweet. They were spending so much time with us that one of the photo pass people looked at all the people behind us in line and said, “now I don’t want you all breaking your arm now for more time.“ So we left that greet with good pictures, memories, and signatures on my cast. I got so many envious remarks on those signatures for the rest of my trip.

After our great greeting we toured Minnie's house and made our way out to the boat dock. As we were passing a store a CM gave the girls a free cookie saying that it was a free "magical moment"! I love magical moments. Even if it is just a free cookie.

We made our way out of MK and to the boat dock. We were about 10 minutes late. I was worried that DH would be worried. When we finally make it to the dock DH is not there. We pace for a while then decide to check the other dock in case he is confused. NO DH.:scared1: Time is ticking. We only have about 30 minutes and still have a ferry ride.

Up Next :hourglass: What to do? What to do? We can't go ahead if we don't have the tickets. And they've already charged our card.:sad2:

My Oh My What a Wonderful Day!

After leaving Casey’s Corner we continued into Tomorrowland. We first rode Buzz Lightyear. DD7 especially loves this ride. I don’t take my score too seriously but DH does. I don’t know what his score was but it’s always WAY better than mine.

What great pics Mickey and Minnie are so cute. I love the face painting the girls had done.

Wow, another great update, I know it's been said again and again but you guys are really a beautiful family! :) I hope you saved your cast! That is the ultimate keepsake! Thanks for the great (and rare) pictures from the Astro Orbiter! I have only been on it once and that was on my first trip to MK when I was 8 in 1977! Although there have been far too many trips to count since then I have never made it back on! I was determined to go on it during the MNSSHP on 9/16 but I got so caught up in things I forgot! lol.. oh well, maybe next trip! Can't wait to hear more of your report! :)

Your girls are so cute with their painted faces. :cutie: :cutie: Can't wait to see what happens next.
