Disney with two broken arms - (Final Day 1/23)

Great updates! TL looks like so much fun, we will have to try to fit a water park in next trip. I love the pic of your girls holding hands from behind. All the photopass pics are cute, I love the borders. :goodvibes

Looks like the family, even your hubby, enjoyed the water park! My fam would rather go to those in the middle of Summer! They were so disappointed last time. I promised season passes for this year. ;) Of course in the Summer they are slammed packed! Sounds like you had no (or a minimal) wait to get on everything. :thumbsup2 Great pics on this update! I like the snorkel one.

I had requested the 50's section with a view of fireworks. I think most people wanting the firework view request building 2 but I requested building 3 (Lady and Tramp) building on the end where I could still see the fireworks but was a little closer to Classic Hall. PERFECT LOCATION. Thanks to my research here on the DIS.:disrocks: I sent in a fax 4 days ahead with a picture and the area circled as well.;) I got my exact request except one floor down. Instead of 4th floor we got 3rd and I was still very happy with it. We could see the top of Spaceship Earth and of course both Epcot and MK fireworks. And it had a beautiful lake view. Infact, I could see the reflection of the fireworks in the lake at night!
Can you give me some more info on this? I would love to try and book this when I go

Looks like you all really had fun at TL:goodvibes We had 6 day park hoppers w water park option last month on our trip and wouldn't you know we didn't go to TL or BB once:rolleyes1 Silly us! You're right it looks like a nice respite from the parks. Fun update..looking forward to more!!

looked like a lot of fun. they really do need to change the texture of the ground on the wave pools, they hurt my toes!!!

:rotfl: You're SO right. I meant WASN'T petrified! :rotfl: You know I had to look over my post like 5 times to see what I really meant. :lmao: I kept looking to see if I spelled petrified wrong.
I'm so happy that you enjoyed TL. It's our favorite. We talked with our kids last time we went to see if they wanted to try BB, but the wanted to go to TL. It's great. I love the sand and like I said before, the wave pool is the best.
DTD means shopping!!!!

Yep, we could probably spend all day just at the wave pool.

Great trip report! It's getting me excited about our trip!

Thanks for posting! I'm excited for you. You will have so much fun!

Wow, why were they disappointed? I remember while we were there telling hubby that I never wanted to come in the middle of the summer when you have to stand around in long lines w/ half naked people.

Yep, the ground texture is not made for sliding on that's for sure.

They were disappointed because we didn't go last time. One thing we really loved was Evening Extra Magic Hours at Typhoon Lagoon. That was cool! The Morning EMH is really slow too. After 2-3 the WP's pretty much clear out. Did you guys meet Lilo and Stitch at TL?

What an amazing day!! I just caught up, had a few days off from the DIS:scared1: . TL seems wonderful, never thought to take the boys there, always thought they wouldn't be able to do much other than the wave pool, guess I was wrong. You cracked me up with the wedgy enema comment.....I remember doing that drop slide when we were on our honeymoon and I was pretty sure I would never be able to get my suit out of my rear!!!:rotfl: Never again.......lol!!

Great update!!!!!:thumbsup2 Can't wait for the report on DTD!!

I love the picture of the girls holding hands with the boat tipping between them that is so cute. A day at Typhoon Lagoon looks like fun!

Great post pics are so cute. We never like to leave. Can't wait for dtd

I just read everything up to this point and it looks like you guys had a blast! Your daughters are beautiful and I cannot believe you broke both your arms!!! I am glad you were able to enjoy the trip even with your injuries. I cannot wait to go next year with my little one. Looking forward to the rest of yoru TR!

Oh, good. I thought you meant they were disappointed in the park. No, we never did see Lilo and Stitch. :sad2:

:cheer2: Welcome, that's great that your little one will get to start Disney so young!

Great pictures from TL! Your kids look so cute in the water!

Thanks, yep we got some good pics.;)

Well we left off at the end of a fabulous day at Typhoon Lagoon. The girls and I spent quite a long time in the changing rooms getting all cleaned up and changed for DTD. We had originally planned DTD for this evening because we knew the two were basically right next to each other. We asked a CM when leaving the fastest way there. He said we should take the Old Key West bus that would first hit OKW then DTD. We jumped on and saw DTD at the end of TL driveway. We then turned left and I kid you not, spent almost an hour riding to the several bus stops around OKW. It was a nice look at the resort but very aggravating. It would have been faster to take a bus back to our resort then back to DTD. Certainly would have been faster to walk even though there are no sidewalks. If we ever do that again we will either walk or get a taxi since it is less than a mile. We all were excited when we got on the bus but a little tired by the time we got off our long ride for a couple blocks travel.:sad2:

We hadn't hit DTD last year so were excited to check it out. DTD Marketplace was amazing. The girls had so much fun posing by all the Disney figures. They wanted to take a photo with them all.

Here they are making grumpy Donald faces.

And, we can't leave out Mickey and Minnie.

After peeking through a few stores we of course made our way to World of Disney. The girls had Disney dollars that their grandparents had gotten them before we left. After looking around for a LONG time the girls had made the choices. DD7 chose this Disney doll.

Here she is handing over her precious Disney dollars.

DD4 picked out a pair of pink Mickey crocs. (w/ some encouragement from me), I was getting sick of her flip-flops coming off and she didn't like wearing her tennis shoes. And she also had enough for a set of 8 little princess figurines. She still plays with them almost daily.

We found some cute Tinkerbelle earrings for DD7's teacher (a Disneyland lover and Tinkerbelle fan). We found a fun Mickey pen for DD4s preschool teacher. Wow, sorry I didn't do well taking pics of all this.

Once we left the girls did not want to much of anything but go back to the resort and play w/ their new toys. Note to self: Don't let girls buy toys until we are ready to go.

We next checked out LEGO Center. Wow was that impressive.

DH and I wanted to go have dinner at Wolfgang Puck Express. I was really excited because it looked like a wide variety that was different from most CS places we had been. Well, as we entered neither of the girls wanted to stay and eat. They both just wanted to go back to the resort and play w/ their new purchases. After waiting in line for a while it became apparent that we would not enjoy the food even if it was good. The girls were tired as well. So, we reluctantly left Wolfgang Puck Express w/ no food.

There were a couple of things I wanted to do before we left. We went to the Disney Christmas store and picked out an ornament. We want to start a new tradition of buying an ornament each time we are in Disney. Hopefully someday we'll be able to fill a whole tree w/ them.:cool1: We found a cute red Mickey head one w/ the year on it.

Lastly we stopped by Goofy's Candy Company. Isn't it amazing how you walk whiney, tired kids into a candy store and suddenly they perk up.:lmao: I had heard there were several great treats you can have made w/ one snack credit. DD7 and I each had a Mickey rice crispy made according to our specifications. Talk about sweet. I had mine w/ nuts and they lathered it on.
Here is a CM making our treats.
DisneyWorld2008468.jpg

She let DD7 eat the candy crumbs off the plate used to make it.
DisneyWorld2008470.jpg

DD4 picked out 3 pretzel sticks dipped in chocolate and candy.
DisneyWorld2008467.jpg

DH picked out a Nemo cookie and later felt left out. On our last day we still had 10 snack credits and I SO wished we had time to go back to Goofy's and have fun treats made for friends and family. It really is a great deal for one snack credit.

Well I secretly had been thinking all day that I might go to Epcot Illuminations myself at the end of the day. We did not have park hoppers (we don't hop around w/ kiddos) so it was probably my last chance to see it. However, by the end of this day I knew I could not leave DH w/ our two combusting kiddos who have not yet eaten and just want to play w/ their toys. So we made our way to the POP bus and I regretfully glanced at the bus stop for EPCOT as we passed by.

We made it back to the POP and the girls immediately tore into their new purchases. We ate dinner in our room which was kind of fun and something different. The girls ate a couple bites of pizza between playing. We also got the fabulous brownie sundaes this night. WOW, those are good and very big! Definitely too big for one person.

We also gave the girls each a gift we'd been saving for this night.

They were matching custom made Minnie dresses w/ Minnie ears. The girls seemed excited to wear them to MK the next day!
