Hm, I have to say I agree with Daddy Dukes here! The cement would definitely keep those babies from falling down. I'm trying to think of what else you could put inside? What if you just used a white version of the sparkley stuff? That way it wouldn't be SOOO much sparkle?

I'm thinking. I'm thinking. hehe. Just takes a lil bit for my braaain to kick in!
But they do look fab!
LOL.. thanks girly!! I am going to see what he can do with the cement, and see how I would get the stick to stay in place while it dries, and all of that!
HAHA I can't believe you actually said so it wouldn't be SO much sparkle!!

Aren't you supposed to be promoting the glitz!?
Yeah, definitely something heavy in the bottom to hold it down, you don't want them toppling over! I'm trying to think what else you could put in the pots instead of that silver stuff. Maybe if you filled it all the way up to the top with something, and then put some nice decorative stones or pebbles at the bottom? I'll keep brainstorming.
I do like the idea of the decorative stones, but that could get a bit pricey.... BUT if I do use the cement idea, I could just fill up the pots more so that it would be a smaller gap to fill with the stones?
Thanks for the brainstorming!
I agree, maybe simply glue some rocks to the bottom to make them a little more sturdy? I like the sparkly, but I think if you could find teal sparkly stuff it might punch it up a little!
MMMMMmmmmmm Teal sparkly stuff!! I have been looking!!
Thanks!!
Loving the centerpieces they are looking really good

Definitely do some cement at the bottom, just a little layer and then put the Styrofoam down and stick the centerpiece into it, I like everyones idea with the rocks on top, you should do some shiny river rocks those would look great
I am liking this shiny river rocks idea... I will have to price them out and see how it works!!
I'm using decorative stones in the clear glass vase I bought to hold my Mickey ribbon topiary and wrapping a matching ribbon around the vase to accent it. I found stones that match my ribbon color exactly at Michaels. I'd personally be hesitant about cement just because I would think they'd become really heavy.
I love your idea and saw your pictures of your centerpiece, I am just hesitant because I will have 17 centerpieces, and it could get a little pricey with the decorative stones! But they are beautiful!
I don't mind too much about the heavy factor, I do want them to be sturdy though, because I am not going to be setting up the reception- my venue is, so I would hate to have them struggle with centerpieces not sitting correctly, or coming undone. If I was setting it up myself, I would probably be able to work with it more.
Those Mickey ribbon poms are killer! And they're the perfect Coastal teal
Maybe you could top the styrofoam with matching decorative stones... you know those glass things people put in vases? (I know, great description... here's a pic: glass beads)
If you wanted to put rocks under the styrofoam, you can cover the top in teeny flowers too, here's (my) example of that:

Pardon the mess!! I just hit up a patch with my glue gun and stuck the little flowers in the foam.
YAY Coastal teal!!!

I was getting worried because we got the ribbon at the Dollar Tree and I was having a hard time finding anymore for that cheap and the perfect color! Luckily my mom cleaned out a newly opened Dollar Tree in Murrells Inlet- so I can breathe a sigh of relief, because we have all the ribbon we need to do all 17 centerpieces!
What a clever idea to use flowers!! I might have to work with that too if the decorative stones idea doesn't work out!!
Great centerpieces!!! Love them!!! Good job Madame Creative

And I agree, I think some shiny glass beads would look great!
WAIT, I hit submit reply too fast... haha!
I was also going to say, you could also play on that polka dot ribbon that you have in there, something subtle with polka dots maybe?? But I may be a little partial, I kinda like polka dots. Alot.
Haha thank you girly!!

LOL.. I love polka dots!!
I love your dress! It is beautiful!
You have done a great job with the Mickey centerpiece. I love the colors of ribbon you used.
Can't wait to follow along with you!
Awww thanks!!
I can't wait to try on my dress again when it comes in!!
Thank you so much!! I love the ribbon too!!
