Disney with a Southern Twist- Tomber 11.11.11 UPDATE: BLOGGED & LIFE!! 1/24!

We miss you too!! I was away for about five days and didn't have much computer access, and it felt like forever! :grouphug:

I know I'm not a part of "the group" but I miss your updates too! I'm very happy you have a job though, as that is a very integral part of paying for a wedding, lol :cool1:

Awwwwwww I love you guys!!!!!!! <3!!!!!! :lovestruc:grouphug::lovestruc

(Mindy you are very much apart of us!! We are all Dis brides after all!!) :)

Sidenote- I forgot how painful it is to stand on your feet all day.... ugggggh! :scared1:

Hellllooooooooooo Ladies!!!!

It has been toooo long!!!! :grouphug: I've missed you all!!!!

I have been adjusting to my new job pretty well! Everyone is really nice, and I am learning a lot and hope to master my tasks so I can feel more comfortable! Now I just need to decide what to do with the rest of my life... :scared1: Haha.. I don't know if I should go back to school, or try teaching again next year? I am completely lost!! I thought I would have had this figured out by now, but I still have no idea what I want to be as far as my career goes. I would love to pursue writing, but it is proving harder than I thought it would! So hopefully I will be able to figure something out! * fingers crossed*

No real news news on the wedding front! I am going to try to knock out another Mickey Head on my day off on Wednesday- which will hopefully bring up the count to 7!

We need to kick our butts into gear and work on a final guest list so I can start making and sending out Save the Dates and getting a list of all the addresses together!! Also, so I can get a rough idea of how many wedding favors to order, so I can get that taken care of!! I want to try to get as much done as possible before the date gets closer, so I don't have a meltdown! :)

We did collectively decide that for the formal invitations- instead of reply cards we are going to do an RSVP insert with an email address to RSVP. That way it saves money on stamps, and will be easier to keep track of and hopefully get back a better response! Here is the mock-up! What do you think? (I wanted to make sure that people don't invite more people then I am budgeting for- so I made sure to put we are holding x-amount of seats for you, as well as should I have them include their names and the other guests in the email reply?)

Also I was looking at hairstyles again- and I think I put a picture of this in my inpsiration board, but here is a bigger picture of the hairstyle I am really liking! I love the look of the messy curls and the braid. I am not doing a tiara or a veil, just a ribbon, so I think it will look pretty! Plus I am working on growing out my hair, so it should be able to style this way!

First, love the RSVP card! We are doing something similar. (well, that is if df EVER finishes these dang invitations). On our invitations we are asking people to RSVP through the site, which actually goes to our email address :)
I think it's a good idea!

Second, LOVE the hair! It will look beautiful!!

And we miss you too!! I know what you mean about being on your feet all day! I've been working 12-14/hours a day lately. Hopefully this is the last week though!! Need. Sleep. :surfweb:

So, RSVP cards look GREAT. Love it. :lovestruc And I'd like to send my response for YES right now.. I will be there.

And I am in LOVE with that hairstyle!!! I'm thinking of doing something really similar to that with my hair.. I will have extensions more than likely in my hair, but I love that bohemian, whimsical feel that it has!

Woohoo!

We miss you too mama! I miss our convos all day long.. :surfweb:
:grouphug: :grouphug:

Love the hair! I too want something including braids, and that is really pretty. I love it!

I love the RSVP cards! It's a really cute idea, but we'll be sticking with the traditional cards cause we have too many older folk that don't use the fancy internet. But I think you may just see a higher response rate because people are lazy and sending an email is easier than putting something in a real mailbox! :rotfl:

Also, the hair is cute. That's one thing that I just can't decide on. So many options, and they all look so pretty in the pictures! Hopefully at some point I'll be able to go and do some trials with my hairdresser.

As for what you should do with your life... you could always go back to school to study library science... :rolleyes1

Very nice ideas, I did something similar to keep people from bringing too many guests. We all miss you here, I am glad that you got your job and you will figure out what you want to do, don't worry about it :) Love the hair too by the way!

Thanks!!! :goodvibes HAHA... I think we all need to fly up there and kick your DF into gear... lol

Yeah, with everything being so techy these days, and with stamps being so pricey... I think it just makes sense!

I am in love with the hair!! If my hair can just start growing faster please... that would be nice!! I need to really grow out my bangs too!

I MISS YOU GUYS!!! :grouphug: Haha.. I was hoping my feet would get used to it after a week or so.. but they are still hurting!! :lmao:

Thank you Thank you Girly!! :goodvibes

You are ALL invited you know!! ;) I will send you an e-vite!!

Well since my wedding is up first, I will let you know how the hairstyle goes!! Haha you can use it for your inspiration pics!!! LOL

I totally miss gchat convos.... I am going through withdrawls!! :rolleyes1

Love the hair! I too want something including braids, and that is really pretty. I love it!

Thanks!!! :) I am hoping it will come out well!! I am debating on doing a hair trial or not?

Thanks Girl!! DF is still kind of hesitant about it, but for us I think it just makes sense? The only people who aren't computer literate, or who don't have access to an email account (like his Grandma and his Mom) I told him, well we know they are coming silly!! :rotfl: Everyone else I think will be ok! HAHA I totally agree about people mailing RSVPs back!! How much easier can you make it for people?!

Yah, hair is a biggie! I usually just wear it down straight, or put it in a messy bun... I am not really a "cute" hair person... so I wanted to do something classy, yet quirky and different!

Haha... believe me! I have thought about going back for Library Science for the past year now!!! :rolleyes1 Don't tempt me!!!

Yeah, I want to try to limit the people to just those I invite on the invitation.... I am trying to enforce a no kids rule (at least no kids less than like say 10 years old) but I haven't figured out a "nice" way to put that...:confused3

MISS you guys MORE!!! :grouphug::grouphug:

Yes... job... equals money!!! :woohoo:

I love the RSVPs. It is a very good idea to have a response by e-mail.

I love the hair as well. That will look gorgeous with a ribbon!!!

SO I had a day off today- so I decided to go spend some money of course! :rolleyes1 I was looking for some flats for my wedding dress and a possible rehearsal dress and various wedding stuff.

I had no luck on the dress but I did have some luck on some shoes!!

I hadn't been to Payless in forever, but I remembered they started carrying American Eagle Brand shoes and it was their BOGO 1/2 off week, so I found some shoes I fell in love with!!! But naturally they didn't have my size, but I tried on another pair in a different color to get the sizes right.

They are teal ballet flats!!

I also stumbled across another pair of flats, which I also got because I want the teal shoes, but if some reason they don't work out or if I like the white better with the dress, I got these too!

I think I will most likely go with the teal, but for some reason my mom thinks that I need white shoes.... She said colored shoes would be too "crazy" and not "traditional" I had to ask her if she was in zoned out for the entire wedding planning process.... haha because I am definitely not traditional, or original. :lmao: So we will see! I got both just in case anyways- and they can equally be worn casually outside of the wedding as well!

I think it really depends on when I get my dress in, and see how they look when paired with the dress.

Now I had to order online because they didn't have my sizes, so I got BOGO 1/2 off, free ship to store shipping, and a 20% off coupon, so I got both pairs for $26!!! :woohoo::woohoo:

Whatever pair I decide to wear I will probably add a hidden mickey on the back heel, or maybe in the front if I use the white ones!

Also stopped by Ross and got a black wooden Dream sign on clearance for $3.99!! :yay: So I will most likely be putting this by the guestbook, or maybe on the cake table with the "Wish" sign I already have!

ALSO!!!!

I forgot to mention I got some Mickey earrings for the wedding!! I am most likely going to glue them to a pair of old plugs, because my ears are gauged and otherwise they would just fall out! :rotfl: They are super sparkly and sooo pretty!

I love your earrings!

Also, I have those white shoes in black. They are fairly comfortable (I have a picky knee), but I recommend wearing nylons or something with them. Otherwise, you might get blisters on your heels. Just thought I'd give you a heads up.

LOVE, LOVE the hair!
What a great find with the shoes. the teal shoes are just gorgeous, and you can't beat getting them at a bargain! :thumbsup2

Woohoo! For a successful day off! Along with some gchat convos in the mix! :thumbsup2:

hah. Tell mom I'm wearing blue shoes! So it's all good! When my mom said something earlier about the whole 'tradition' thing I looked at her and said 'hello? have you not known me the past 25 years? I'm your daughter, I'm far from tradition and the norm'. Ohhh moms! :rotfl2:

I wanna see those earrings when your done glueing them! I would recommend adding some extra sparkle around the mickey's where the parts of the plug are exposed... buuuut that's just me..:rolleyes1

Oh I love those shoes!!! I wanted the blue/teal shoes before I decided on mine. Gotta love moms and the whole, "what are you thinking, that's not for a bride" thing...haha!
I love those earrings!!
Yay for a day off!!! Can you talk to my boss for me?? :rotfl:

HOORAY for colored shoes! I love the color! The white ones are pretty too, (just in case).
