FIRST OFF!!!!

I GOT A JOB!!!!!!!!(Department Manager at Ol' Wally World!)

Now we will be finally saving some moolah! My first day is next Tuesday, so I need to kick my butt into gear and grind out some more Mickey Head centerpieces, and enjoy the last of my freedom!!

So naturally... before I even get a paycheck... I went shopping...

I found a gorgeous dress that I will most likely be using for my engagement pictures and perhaps for my rehearsal dinner as well (if another dress doesn't come along...) I am still toying with the idea of a white dress, or teal for the rehearsal, but not sure yet!

It has a satin sash, and has little rosette flowers all over the skirt. LOVE it!

ANDDDDDDDDDDDDD I just happened to get a 30% off coupon from Kohls... so I just had to go in and buy these...

Which match my engagement dress PERFECTLY!! And they are super comfortable, and I will most likely be wearing them again!

I had already purchased a teal flower to wear in my hair for the engagement shots, so it will be a nice touch to incorporate my colors into our pictures!

Along with the dress for the engagement pictures, I will probably bring another change of clothes (jeans and a cute top... and my hot shoes of course! )

Also, I never posted my wedding band!! DF was a smart cookie and bought my rings as a set! It has a unique pattern and he wanted it to match perfectly, so he got them together.

Now we just need to go ring shopping for DF!!

AND finally- I bought some spray paint and some pots today- so I am going to try to make a complete final Mickey Head centerpiece, so I will post pictures of those probably tomorrow or Friday... I couldn't ask for better spray paint weather tomorrow.. it is supposed to be a sunny 72!!!

I think I am leaning more towards a white dress for the rehearsal.... now I just have to find one!

I made one more centerpiece today!! So that brings it up to 6!! I have my own little army over here... haha... now I just need to make 11 more by November...

I can already see I am going to have to spray paint the inside of the pot, at least right by the rim because you can see the brown- also, I don't know if I am feeling the sparkly stuffing?

I don't know what else I could put in the pot instead though?

I have a styrofoam thingy in the bottom to hold up the stick, but my dad had mentioned possibly just putting cement in each one, to be sure it wouldn't fall down, which I think might be a good idea, since right now it is pretty wobbly, and my venue is going to be responsible for setting up the reception- so to make it easier on them without having to worry about them falling apart would probably be helpful.

What do you ladies think?

Hm, I have to say I agree with Daddy Dukes here! The cement would definitely keep those babies from falling down. I'm trying to think of what else you could put inside? What if you just used a white version of the sparkley stuff? That way it wouldn't be SOOO much sparkle? I'm thinking. I'm thinking. hehe. Just takes a lil bit for my braaain to kick in!

Yeah, definitely something heavy in the bottom to hold it down, you don't want them toppling over! I'm trying to think what else you could put in the pots instead of that silver stuff. Maybe if you filled it all the way up to the top with something, and then put some nice decorative stones or pebbles at the bottom? I'll keep brainstorming.
