Not sure if this is the best place to put this, but wondering for some feedback on whether or not the RunDisney events are worth the cost IF it would mean just a quick weekend trip to do one. I teach, and it seems every RunDisney event is either the end of a break (which would mean needing approval to miss a day post-break, nearly impossible) or arranging a quick sneak away for a run.
I am very interested in attending Wine & Dine, and more interested in the 10k & Half challenge. Would it be worth sneaking down and maybe pushing for the Monday off? The races are crazy expensive, and I would imagine we would not attack the parks just based on time. I had major FOMO when we were down last week - I wanted so badly to do one of the runs but couldn't justify the cost of the 5k.
Just would love to hear from RunDisney fans and even those who have gone to Disney during Wine & Dine. It's sold out this year so this would be looking to 2019 with a longer trip likely in 2020 or 2021. Early thoughts including using the teacher rate for Swan or Dolphin and keeping it pretty EPCOT focused.
Thanks again!
