WDW Closings and Updates
Walt Disney World - Due to the impending threat from Hurricane Frances, the Walt Disney World Resort has adjusted the following operating hours for September 3, 2004:
Magic Kingdom -- 9am - 8pm; Share a Dream Come True parade - 3pm; Wishes - 8pm
Epcot - Future World -- 9am - 7pm; World Showcase -- 11am - 9pm; Illuminations -- 9pm
Disney-MGM Studios -- 9am - 6pm; Disney Stars & Motorcars Parade -- 3:30pm; Fantasmic! -- cancelled
Animal Kingdom -- 9am - 5pm; Mickey's Jammin' Jungle parade - 4pm;
Blizzard Beach -- 10am - 6pm
Typhoon Lagoon -- 10am - 6pm
Downtown Disney
Marketplace -- Shops open until 6pm; Dining open until 9pm
Pleasure Island -- Not Operating
West Side Shops -- Shops open until 6pm; Dining open until 9pm
DisneyQuest -- 11:30am - 6pm
Cirque du Soleil -- performing 6pm show only; 9pm show cancelled

All Walt Disney World Resort hotels will remain open throughout the storm. Guests staying at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground will be relocated to other hotels on property.
Priority Seatings - Priority seatings for any resort dining location will not be taken for the period of dinner Friday 9/3 through dinner Sunday 9/5. No theme park bookings for meals are being accepted for Saturday 9/4 and Sunday 9/5. If you have a Priority Seating and need to cancel, call 407-WDW-DINE (any applicable cancellation fees will be waived if you cancel). (Posted 9/2/04)
Hoop-De-Doo Revue Ft. Wilderness - Friday 9/4 9:30 show is cancelled; 5:00 and 7:15 still on at this time. All shows cancelled for Saturday September 4. (9am; 9/2/04)

Fantasmic! shows are cancelled September 3 - 6.
A temporary cancellation/rebooking policy is now in effect for WDW from September 1 - 6, 2004. During this time, you may cancel or change your reservation without penalty. Orlando International Airport Updates
Orlando International Airport (MCO) and Orlando Executive Airport (ORL) will close at NOON Friday, September 3 due to the Hurricane. Domestic passengers holding reservations for flights prior to noon on Friday, September 3, 2004, need to arrive 3 hours prior to their departure. For further information on flight schedules up that time, please contact the airline directly. The Hyatt Hotel at Orlando International Airport is booked and sold out. Normal flight operations will resume when weather permits and clean up operations are completed. Orlando Area Updates
SeaWorld, Discovery Cove, Universal (both parks), and CityWalk will close at 3 p.m. on Friday and will remain closed on Saturday. http://www.wftv.com/
Orange County Schools are closed Friday Sept. 3. Also, all county school extracurricular activiites have been canceled Friday through the weekend. (5 p.m., 9/1/04)
STATEWIDE: Gov. Jeb Bush declared a state of emergency throughout Florida because of the hurricane, activating the National Guard. The state's Emergency Operations Center was open.
AIRLINES: Airlines were telling customers to check their web sites or call them to check for any delays or cancellations as the hurricane approached. A spokesman advised people who plan to use Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport in the next several days to buy their tickets before coming to the airport.
AMTRAK: Southbound Amtrak trains scheduled to end in Miami will instead terminate in Jacksonville on Thursday and Friday. Northbound service from Florida was not expected to be affected Thursday.
NASA: The Kennedy Space Center planned to close on Thursday and Friday to allow workers time to board up their homes and evacuate, if necessary, NASA officials said.

Disney Cruise Line - September 2, 2004 - 5:30 p.m.
Disney Cruise Line continues to monitor Hurricane Frances very closely. At this time, it is probable that the storm will impact air travel into the Central Florida area through Sunday. Given this information, the schedules for the Disney Magic and Disney Wonder are being modified.
The Disney Magic scheduled to depart Saturday, Sept. 4 will now sail on Monday, Sept. 6 on a five-night voyage from Port Canaveral at 7 p.m.
The Disney Wonder sailing scheduled to begin on Sunday, Sept. 5 will now sail on Monday, Sept. 6 on a three-night voyage from Port Canaveral at 6 p.m.
Guests sailing the modified five-night voyage on the Disney Magic will automatically receive a 40 percent refund off their current voyage fare, plus a $200 shipboard credit to utilize during the voyage. In addition, they will receive a 25 percent discount off a future sailing with Disney Cruise Line. The discount can be applied toward any three-, four-, or seven-night Disney Cruise Line cruise only vacation (excluding holiday sailings) booked by Dec. 31, 2004 and commencing prior to Oct. 1, 2005.
Guests sailing on the modified Disney Wonder three-night voyage will automatically receive a 30 percent refund off their current voyage fare, plus a $100 shipboard credit to utilize during the voyage. In addition, they will receive a 25 percent discount off a future sailing with Disney Cruise Line. The discount can be applied toward any three-, four-, or seven-night Disney Cruise Line cruise only vacation (excluding holiday sailings) booked by Dec. 31, 2004 and commencing prior to Oct. 1, 2005.
The Disney Cruise Line Reservations Center is currently being inundated with calls from travel agents and their clients regarding the status of the Disney Magic and Disney Wonder itineraries for this weekend.

The Disney Magic will now sail on Monday, September 6 on a 5-night voyage and the Disney Wonder will also sail on Monday, September 6 on a 3-night voyage. Both ships are scheduled to depart from Port Canaveral. Guests sailing on one of these voyages are currently being contacted by our Reservations staff.
PORT CANAVERAL - Due to the approach of Hurricane Frances, the Canaveral Port Authority administrative office will be closed Thursday and Friday, September 2 and 3. The Port Authority administrative office is scheduled to re-open on Tuesday, September 7. This date could change depending on the severity of the storm. The evacuation of the Canaveral Harbor must be completed and all vessels must be out of the Harbor no later than 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 3rd at which time the harbor will be closed. The Disney Wonder will sail as scheduled on Thursday, Sept. 2, remaining out at sea where Guests can enjoy better weather a safe distance away from the effects of the storm. (5:00pm, 9/1/04)
