The swill Disney calls coffee is not acceptable. Nowadays, we demand good coffee, not Nescafe garbage (yes, I know they sponsor the Epcot suff...)

The espresso machines in Epcot, at the AK, etc. are not making good espresso or lattes.

Disney needs to provide a good coffee or they are going to need to put Starbucks on every corner of WDW like it is in the real world.

Until everyone complains enough, nothing will change. If you agree with me, post a reply to this thread. Perhaps someone at Disney will notice.

I love the coffee at WDW - but then I usually only get it at Kona Cafe or Boma or Jiko. I personally think Starbucks is really, really bad coffee but that's just me. Although, since they have McDonald's fry wagons to appeal to the masses, I imagine it's just a matter of time before they do have Starbucks or Caribou Coffee or some other coffee giant come in.

I see you stayed at AKL - did you try the coffee at Boma or Jiko? yum!

At least a lot of the hotels have coffee makers so it coffee is that important to you you can brew your own.

I also have friends who are diehard Pepsi fans - they know they're not getting their favorite beverage and yet the carry on and enjoy the magic anyway :)

I had the coffee at the Jiko, and it was good Kenyan, but it was not available for "carry-out".

I don't like Starbucks much either, but it tasted great after the junk at WDW!

1) They also provide all the coffee for free, in addition to exhibit sponsorship.
2) I don't think Maxwell House, Folger's or others would do that.
3) Certainly not Starbucks.

I totally agree - Disney need to change from the 'instant' rubbish served throughout the majority of 'The World'. The only decent cup we have had is at the Kona Cafe which is really good.

We love our coffee but just don't bother with it unless we are at the Poly. Lets hope Disney will update their coffee style soon.

Tracey :goodvibes

Not Starbucks. To me, Starbucks just tastes burnt. I'd much prefer Dunkin Donuts.

That is just crazy. So Nescafe provides the coffee for free? If they do, I would assume they do that for name recognition. Do they actually think they are gaining business from serving that swill? Just doesn't make any sense at all. Do some people actually like the Nesafe swill?

They *used* to have GREAT COFFEE! Then they changed to Nescafe. ugh. I bring my own coffee pot if I have to stay in a Value resort, and buy Kenyan ground by the bag in Zawadi.

ding ding ding....we have a winner.....DD is the best coffee by far.

we factor a rental car into every trip just so my hubby can go off site at least once a day and get his Dunkin Donuts coffee. he can't stand the swill WDW passes off as coffee. (yes, that adds hundreds of dollars to out vaca budget, but is worth it to keep DH happy.)

starbucks is a big no go for us too, IMHO it is fine for a treat (like ice cream) but not for a daily cup-o-joe to get/keep you moving.

I have to say that I am not fond of WDW's coffee, and that is why I bring my own. It's not much of a hassle, and it's better to wake up and sit on the balcony with a good cup of coffee, rather than a bad one.

IMO, Starbucks has terrible coffee. If they came in to WDW, I wouldn't buy from them because the coffee is too bitter and strong. However, I would buy the coffee they have at Kona... yum!

I tried the stuff in france once at Epcot, it was pretty crapy.... I'm pretty much a coffee person, but the stuff they have i don't drink, thank goodness i can make my own stuff in my room in the AM!!!

They could use the finest beans available on earth, but if they're brewed with the Florida water, it will still taste like muck. Why waste good beans? ;)

I get a cappuccino at Starburcks every day (won't drink their coffee straight!), and absolutely refuse to even walk into Dunkin' Donuts (the smell of the entire place makes me nauseous). I always get the cappuccinos at the Coronado Springs Resort and they aren't too bad. I very rarely drink just "coffee."

I finally figured it out on my last trip and brought my own. :thumbsup2 Must say the Kona pressed is pretty great too.

While I have more cappuccinos than plain coffee, it is still important for WDW to have decent, regular coffee so all the people who drink it can do so without gagging.

Dopey420, I must say, the title of your thread is just genius, it really made me laugh:thumbsup2 . This coffee thing has been digested to death here on the Dis, trust me it has. Disney does listen, and reads these threads. For some odd reason, (probably contract no doubt) they just won't change. I would love a Starbucks or Green Mountain type of refillable coffee, but who knows..maybe someday.

ITA, it was great :rotfl:

I know Kona has a little coffee stand right by it - shame AKL can't do the same thing with their Kenyan coffee.

I agree the coffee is horrible, in fact that was the one thing we were looking forward to when getting home, good coffee. I'll have to try Kona or Boma this trip.

<----------------------see tag...'nouf said.

I love Dunkin Donuts coffee. For a while I was on this caramel latte kick. A friend was stopping at Starbucks and asked what I wanted, so I asked for a caramel latte. It was only half full and the flavor was awful. In the past when I ordered a coffee from Starbucks it was half full, so I stopped going. For the amount of money Starbucks charges, fill the stinkin cup.

Now, Disney coffee is unpalatable. I could steep an old gym sock in hot water and get a better result.
