Disney! Wake up and sell the coffee!!!

You are so right. WDW serves pure swill. Dunkin Donuts is my favorite mass marketed coffee. Starbucks is too dark. I like the lighter roasts. Light roast = more caffiene

One Venti Latte, please!

I make my own in the hotel in the morning and take another cup on the bus for the ride to the parks. That pretty much has me set till dinner, but uggg who wants to finish a meal with instant coffee, especially weak instant coffee! :confused3

Ok, so am I to understand that if I order coffee after dinner when I go out to eat in Disney, it will be INSTANT??? Is this everywhere? Gross!

Disney and Nestle (maker of nescafe) entered into a huge money-making agreement for themselves - not YOU!!

They both have total disregard for their deal and not the satisfaction of their customers.

My advice to you:
1. Tell all you can at WDW to get out of this deal
2. Write, E-mail, etc. Disney and tell them
3. Go on line to Nescafe.com and tell Nestle that their
coffee is crap and you will not buy ANY Nestle product until
they get out f WDW and leave good coffee to Starbucks

This is the ONLY way anything will ever get done to our satisfaction!
If you don't do this - then you have no reason to complain!

DO IT!!

Yeah, that's a great idea. Of course the sponsorships that Disney gets generates revenue to keep many of the rides open and operational. Frankly I would rather be able to go on my favorite rides than have a great cup of Joe, but that's just me.

Oh man, I hate the Nescafe, but STARBUCKS?????? Starbucks makes the WORST coffee next to Nescafe. Their espresso is a joke, their cappuccinos are bigger jokes. (I'm a former resident of Italy, so perhaps I'm picky.) They overroast their beans (which is why they are world-widely known as CHARBUCKS.) That's like saying, "Leave the good hamburgers to McDonald's." Seriously, if you think Starbucks is good coffee, there are some places you should try.

FYI, I don't know if anyone has been, but Chefs de France (the restaurant, NOT the patisserie or walk up) has a great, authentic, percolated French roast coffee. Really great cup. I could have had three more, mostly because I knew it was the last good coffee I'd get for the rest of the trip.

We are Canadian and were secretly hoping that when they updated the movie at the Canadian Pavillion in Epcot, they would add a Tim Horton's booth there as well!! :rotfl:

Us too!! Tim's Horton's would be a much better representation of canadians than the lumber jack outfits the CM's have to wear. :lmao:

I bring my own and make in the room before we head to the parks.

Yikes is it really that bad? :scared1: I simply CANNOT function in the morning without a good cup of coffee. For all of you who make coffee in room: we are staying at POR, if I bring my own coffee what type/size filter do the in room makers use? I just may have to bring some...nescafe won't cut it...

They have the 4 cup size coffee makers. We used the basket type filters.

I'm not a coffee drinker myself, but DH *hates* Disney coffee. And he's REALLY not picky - any brewed coffee will do. Gas stations, convenience stores, McDonalds, Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts... it is all good to him. So for him to refuse to drink the coffee from the food courts and most restaurants at Disney is really saying something!

So does anyone have suggestions for a decent cup of coffee or latte in WDW? Other than bringing along one's own beans, roaster, grinder, brewer etc?

It depends on your personal taste, but I know of two coffee shops that do not serve Nescafe.

The Kusafiri Coffee Shop in AK has a good selection of coffees, including cappuccino and expresso.

The Writer's Stop in HS had a good selection of coffees, including cappacino and latte.

i disliked the coffee at the resorts, and i wish i would have tried it before purchasing the refillable mug as the coffee was terrible and i am not ususally fussy. I did switch to TEA in the morning, but it was a pain to get milk as they only served CREAM and if i could not see anyone to get milk i did not want to waste my time. I wish they would provide milk.

.....we always bring our own Starbucks or Dunkin' Donuts(French Vanilla!) coffee
from home.:worship:

We drive to the world when we go and we horribly overpack. One thing we always take is a bottle of Kahlua or Baileys Irish creme. It makes the coffee tolerable and takes the edge off after a long day walking the parks. I have never thought to take my own coffee and brew in the room but then I only have that one cup of coffee a day when I am there and Kahlua can fix anything for me. This trip though I think I will be adding some creme brulee coffee mate to the ice chest to perk up the tea I sometimes have in the morning and then maybe the coffee will taste a little better.
