Disney Visa

The one question my CM asked, and I thought it strange, was "did you book with a Disney Visa". I did and also had a AAA discount. I wonder if I had booked my AAA discount with my AMEX would that have made a difference. NOt sure why it would as if I had, I could just change the charge card. And why not just book with your Disney visa if it seems to be an issue and cancel your old reservation.

It's the same as it always has been with other DV offers - that CM was totally incorrect.

As I thought, always good to make sure.

I wanted to see who modified a reservation that wasn't originally made on the Disney visa so I could tell her people are doing it.

Can someone post either the terms of the offer or a link to the offer. I can't find the details in any of these threads. :confused3

Thanks.

Our trip isn't until March 8th. Looks like no dining offer for us. Need to call and check on room only discounts. We are staying at AofA LM room, but if I can get a moderate for the same price I would definitely move over.

Just got off the phone--called the regular number and got right in.

Thanks to everyone who had given numbers before--the ones that I had put together in my little spreadsheet were correct--so it was easy to decide.

He said that the All Star Music and Sports discounts were between 15 and 20% depending on the dates for RO.

SPD turned out to be better for us (Code JJQ) - saved us over 200 per room once food was figured in :cool1:

Good luck--it sounded really busy in the call center--good luck!!

I thought I'd post the details to help. Of course, certain dates may vary slightly, especially between March 6-13 where discounts will be slightly less due to spring break.

Excludes Little Mermaid Standard Rooms, Campsites, Villas at Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and 3-bedroom Villas.

Value Resorts:
All Star Music, All Star Sports, Pop Century Resort = 20%

Art of Animation Family Suites = 15%

All Start Movies = 5%

Moderate Resorts:
Caribbean Beach, Coronado Springs, Port Orleans Riverside, Fort Wilderness Cabins = 25%

Port Orleans French Quarter, Coronado Springs Junior Suites = 5%

Deluxe Resorts:
Animal Kingdom Lodge (Standard & Pool View), Beach Club, Yacht Club, BoardWalk Inn, Polynesian Resort, Contemporary Resort, Grand Floridian Resort & Spa , Wilderness Lodge (Standard & Woods View) = 35%

Animal Kingdom Lodge (Club Level & Savanna View), Wilderness Lodge (Club Level & Courtyard View) = 25%

Deluxe Suites = 5%

Deluxe Villa Resorts:
Saratoga Springs, Old Key West, Beach Club Villas, BoardWalk Inn Villas = 35%

Villas at Wilderness Lodge and Animal Kingdom Lodge Villas = 25%

Bay Lake Tower = 5%

Sounds like my wife has her heart set on staying at AofA LM room. It looks like a couple of the moderates, with the discount, would come out to the same price as a AofA LM room. But she said that she doesn't care about the room space, but rather the theming and experience.

Thanks EVERYONE!!!

I got POR Gardenview Feb2-6....RO discount!
Can't believe I did this since I haven't even left for my November trip.

No more second guessing what I"m going to do.
DONE!

Thank you all so much for your help in planning over the last few weeks and for the info this morning! We are booked with SPD and thrilled about it. Thank you!!!

I just booked SPD at Port Orleans. We had to go with garden view to get the package.

Room 1 - 3 adults $4444.05
Room 2 - 3 adults, 1 child $4985.

It's the same as it always has been with other DV offers - that CM was totally incorrect.

I was told the same thing by a CM this morning. This was after she repeatedly told me there were no RO discounts, just SPD, before eventually finding RO. It seems they have an incredibly flawed system over there.

Argggg....still trying to get a CM that can get me that Pixie Dust! -(specifically, DISCOUNTED ROOM-ONLY Pixie Dust!) :confused3

I'm booking a new reservation today for early April. Do I have to call to get the DV RO discount or will I get it if I book online?

Today's offers are only fir Disney Visa cardholders. The release to general public is next week.

Booked SPD for Feb. 1-8 at POR with DV offer!

I plan to book moderate, do you mind letting me know how much you saved and how many adults? I hear the SPD isn't the same as last year so may save more or less depending on room type.

I just got off the phone with my TA. I booked my trip and paid in full with my Southwest CC. She was able to put $200 on my Disney CC and refund my SW card. We have now saved $841! :cheer2:
We are going Jan 25-Feb 1 and got the S/P/D for a family of 4. POFQ :cool1: I love saving money.
