How long does it take once you order the Disney Rewards Card for it to arrive at your home.

We're leaving for WDW on Jan 19th, should I pay the $10 rush fee or will I receive it in time if I just do standard shipping. Plus does it matter whether I order it online and should I call the order in. Planning on ordering it tomorrow.

Thanks

I ordered mine on-line and received it within a week...That was in early December.

I had to order mine twice last year before I got it. The first time there was a problem on their end and I had to call to get it sent again. Once it got sent it only took a few days.

Be sure you understand how the card works.

It has an expiration. I think it's about a year. Any reward dollars not used by the expiration date are lost. So you should only put the number of dollars onto the card that you know you'll spend before the expiration date.

Also, if you spend all the dollars, and want to add new dollars to the card, it does NOT change the expiration date. So be sure if you add additional dollars, you will be able to spend them before they expire.

If you have a lots of reward dollars, it's best to only put on the initial card the number of dollars you think you will spend. You can add more later if needed with a simple phone call.

Just FYI.

Thanks for that FYI. I will be ordering my first ever rewards card for our July trip.

Even if you order one and it doesn't make it in time, they will replace it at DTD. Last year I ordered it a month before the trip, then couldn't find it. As soon as we got to Orlando we went to DTD and they replaced it. Had to make a call or two to get the points transfered to the new card (same expiration) and we were all set!

Just for future references, where do they issue the card in DTD?

I decided to order my card last night, they gave me till Jan. 14th for it to arrive. I asked the rep if I should pay to have it rush, and he said it should be here before my trip. Hopefully it will arrive with no problems.

Guest Relations in DTD can get you one a rewards card or add more points on to an existing card.

I was saving our rewards for our cruise next year, but I decided to go ahead and use them now since credit cards are always changing things.

I went to Guest Services at DTD (In front of Wetzels Pretzels) and with my visa and ID she gave me a new card and pamplet. The card expires 12/08.

Then I called Chase and gave them my card number and they transferred my rewards onto the card. Went to the front desk last night and applied the entire card balance to our room charges. Paid for 3 DisneyQuest for Dh and the boys AP's:thumbsup2

Nice and easy!
