This has probably been answered before but I can't seem to find it.

In regards to the reward dollars. My limit is low (thanks ex-husband!) but I want to get as many reward dollars as possible before our trip in September. I know they don't actually post to your account until after the statement cycle. If I pay the card off every week and most things don't even make it to the statement cycle, do I lose those points? I've only had it 4 days and I am almost at my limit and wanted to pay it off when I get paid Friday but not if it means I won't get my dollars!

The points are based on your spending throughout the month, not the balance due at the time that the statement is generated. You will get credit for all of your purchases, even the ones you paid off ahead of schedule.

All of your points will still be credited at the end of the statement cycle. Points are not earned on payment patterns, strictly on purchases. From a finance standpoint, those points are accrued the day the transactions are credited to your account. They just don't show up until the cycle ends.

Here is something you need to know, you must order your reward card about a month before your trip. Here is what you need to do: As soon as you get $10.00 in rewards order your card, after that you can request the rewards to be moved onto the reward card at any time as long as you have a minimum of $10.00. I leave $10.00 in my account and then when my last statement before my trip closes I transfer all of the remaining balance. Sometimes my statement closes while I am on my trip and this way I get every available dollar for my trip.

You can pick up your rewards card at Guest Services at DTD. We did that on our trip in 2012. Called to activate it from our resort room and check on rewards added as our billing cycle was around our trip time.

Please note that there's an expiration date on the card. If you order the rewards card early in the year, the expiration date will usually be December of the same year. If ordered later in the year then the expiration will be the following year.

I got my rewards card at Guest Services at Epcot last month. I always thought you had to go to DTD, but the woman being helped a couple of people over asked for it, so I did, too. It saved a trip to DTD. Called and activated it on my cell phone while in Epcot.

I always wait until I'm at WDW before getting my card because of the expiration date problem. So, that advice about waiting is really good advice!

isn't it $20 minimum for the rewards card and then a minimum of $10 transferred once you have a card?

I usually get a minimum amount on my reward card and then while I am at Disney I can transfer as much as I need. It is an easy phone call to transfer more rewards.
