Disney Visa incentive still active?

Can someone explain how this works. You have to be a current card holder (as of 9/1/7?) and a purchase of what size is eligible for the $500 rewards?

Is this still in effect?
I assume you need to charge the $500 deposit to the card?
Will this work with the 110 point addon where you get the 2007 points, $10 off and 100 developer points? or does this need to be a new purchase.

I am a newbie on the board so don't take my word for it. The visa rewards $500- promotion ends sometime the end of November, 2007.
I have read on these boards that people have got the $500- visa rewards with add-ons however I don't know the minimum add-on.

I was just taking to a rep @ Disney Visa about this. She could find nothing in the details of the promo that indicated how many points had to be purchased to qualify but it did specify that it was "a new membership". However, several existing members have reported they were going to receive the offer with an add-on. Also, she told me the entire transaction had to be completed by 11/30, so I'm not sure if that means the downpayment just needed to be charged to the account by that date, or if the whole thing has to be closed by the 30th. Either way, time is running out so anyone on the fence (myself included!) needs to make a decision fairly soon.

It's a minimum of 160 points, just went through this with my guide last week.

I would believe that you could. Just have to make downpayment with the DIS Visa. I would check with guide though.

Of note, when I was on phone for downpayment they said the rewards $'s would not show up for 2 months after billing so I would save that statement as a precaution.
You also have to give them some # that was on your statement. I believe it is the Cardmember ID #.
