Disney VISA - Gift Certificate?

I just received my Disney Visa at the end of December and made my first purchase 12/31. I signed up because of the $50 promotion and today I went in to check to see if I received the $50. It showed a zero balance, so I called customer service. They told me that my $50 was in the form of a Disney World gift certificate and that I'd receive it in February.

Does this scenario make sense? Reading the promotion, it definitely says I'd be receiving the fifty as rewards credit. Did anyone else have this problem?

I signed up for the promotion that gave 50 rewards dollars. It didn't show up on the website until the closing of the bill. It showed up on my bill in the mail. It was a nice bonus and the only reason I got it. It gets used once a month when I place my Creative Memories order.

I know for the regular rewards they aren't available till the month after statement close. If you log on to website and check your rewards it should show up their.
