Disney Visa Free Ticket

I received a travel voucher in the mail today, good for a free companion ticket to Disney (either Florida or California). It didn't specify any airline.

Is there a catch to this? I'm sure others have received this, has anyone actually used it?

I'm leery of things that sound too good to be true.

You will want to read the rules on the certificate very carefully. As a general rule, free companion tickets require that you spend a certain dollar amount for the priced ticket.

The usual restriction is that you will have to buy a full fare unrestridcted ticket to get a free one. Typically, this fare is more than twice the cost of the restricted ticket. So, unless you always buy unrestricted tickets, you are not saving anything.

My sil also received this. She told me you match your departure point and destination point and it gives you a price of what to expect to pay for a full price ticket. I believe for her it was $280 (NY to Orlando) for a regular ticket and one companion free. I think in the end, you will only be saving a few dollars.

Got the same offer last week. Boy, what a deal, huh We can get TMA seats for $79 each way and there's no zones to consider for $300 tickets. I threw it in the trash. Sure wish VISA would come up with something most of us could actually use
