Disney VISA free dining code QXZ

Because I'm completely impatient I just called again and talked to a different CM who said that the discount is ONLY free dining. There is no discount on room. I still saved a total of like $600, so I'm not really complaining.

Maybe it depends on when you go...mine definitely had a room discount. Our DP (2A2C) came to $767.68. However when compared to the same pkgs at rack rate, our savings are $911.68. Even though we are going in regular season, we got the room at value season prices. Difference between CSR standard room regular and value season = $16/night. $16 x 8 nts x 1.125 (for the 12 1/2 percent tax) = $144....$144 + $767.68 (for the DP) = $911.68 total savings.

Darn. I'm on a convention rate... Great codes out there and we can't use them!

I'm on hold right now. So just to make sure I understand, if I don't use the 1-day base ticket that I'm required to buy, I can save it for a future trip? Is it linked to my name, or can I say give it to my sister?

Yeah- I called back and got everything done. We changed from Dec 13-19 AAA standard room only at WL to Dec 14-20th Courtyard view with 7 day park hoppers and free dining for $2906.71 for 2 kids and 2 adults. We will just stay offsite that Sat. and drive down early Sat vs half way Friday night and do downtown Disney and get to bed early so we can check in super early Sunday morning. We lose 1/2 day at the parks Sat but we will be there still plenty of time and can stay until late that following Sat. night and then drive an hour or so home. Plus Free dining saved us at least $40o plus a room upgrade!!!

We have given away more than a few of our one day base tickets...they work fine. Since you have never used them, and done the finger scan, they really aren't linked to you. sure, they have your name on them, but as long as a female is using one with a females name, I wouldn't worry about it.

Now, are you supposed to do this..NO!

I got a price quote. Since I had a special room rate before, it looks like I'd be saving about $50 with the free dining. Plus I'd have to purchase the one-day tickets as an "investment" for the future. I guess I'll stick with the original plan, keep the cash instead of the extra tickets, and keep the flexibility of not being on DDP. Darn!

But I'm glad to hear that others are getting great deals out of the offer! :grouphug:

Is anyone getting the option to upgrade to deluxe dining for the cost of regular dining?

I was given that option by my res agent. I didn't take it though. I'll only be there three days, and there just isn't enough time for all those sit down meals!

Last night I plugged various dates to check what the package would be without a dining package on Disney's website. I did pricing without any deals; because, you can't double dip with codes, etc. The pricing would give me the so-called room rack rate ( I chose a preferred room ) which is what is required to get the free dining discount usually. Then, when I called this morn I had those cost figures in front of me for 3 diiferent set of dates. We are retired and we are flexible with our dates. Anyway, all three scenarios were cheaper that the website pricing; so, I know we are getting a discount on the resort room, too. I would say it came out to about 10% off the resort room in each case. There was a slight difference on costs when you change the dates a little, as well; although, it wasn't significant.

I couldn't make the ressies yet, but at least I know the current discount pricing with this code. Since we had three dates and I'm going to do it tonight I feel I should be ok waiting until this evening to make my ressies. I say this is a very good deal for value resorts.

I suggest for everyone to compare by using the Disney website. I can tell from some of the posts that with other deals, etc. this discount may not be as good or not worth the hassle of changing everything around if you need to change dates, etc.

I have the CR on hold, my original rate with the fall discount was $2602. With the new code - $2100, so we are saving $500. :woohoo: (at least in theory) I don't have the card with me, so I called DH who's sleeping

Wake up DH!!!

It was 2AD 3CH (2 are jrs.) GV room with deluxe dining plan. I asked him to confirm that we are keeping the deluxe plan at that rate and he kept saying yes.
--------------------------------------
Okay we're booked now. Actual savings was $462, but that's $462 I can pocket. guess it would have been more if I dropped down to the regular dining plan, but we're doing a lot of signature restaurants this trip. I had a wonderful CM too! She told me I didn't have to rebook the trip, she just put a deposit on the Disney Visa, and now I'm all set.

I too believe I got a discount on my deluxe room. We had booked a GV room at Grand Floridian. My rate when I booked with a code (can't remember which!) was $4640 for 7 nights, 7-day hoppers and dining. When I called today to apply the code, the rate went to $4080. I questioned the amount because I didn't remember having a code the first time. The CM stated that the package at rack rates, no free dining would have been $5250. That's a difference of $1200. The dining plan for us is about $700, so that leaves an additional $500 discount.

We changed weeks from a AAA package we originally had for the week before. With our new package, we have 2 nights at the Holiday rate which is crazy expensive, but we are still saving over $200!

I'm just glad we got it!

I'm agreeing with you. There is definitely a room discount somewhere in there because if I quote out the same exact package I have with the code, I get $3700. What I've ended up paying is $2900. Dining for my family during this stay equaled $540. That would mean our room is discounted by about 15%, though there is a small margin for error though because I've done some minor rounding.

The good news in all of this is that I'm saving (!!!!!!!!) more than $800! :yay: :yay: :yay: Of course I use the word "saving" lightly as I'm still out $2900, but you know what I mean. :)

Wasn't worth it for me.....the Disney Visa package was only $20 less than the Fall Promo :confused3 Oh well, I just happy to be going and SUPER EXCITED stay at WL for the first time EVER. AND, I'll be there in 2 weeks

Would you mind saying where you are staying? I booked POP and no discount on the room. I wonder if it's only certain hotels.

I am at POP and got the 20% discount. I am going during Holiday Season though, so that might be why. Mousesavers says something about Value Season not having a room discount on top of the Free Dining.

I think we still have a room discount, too...

I originally booked Dec. 13 - 20 at Pop, with code DGL, and no dining.

I just changed to Dec. 14 to 21 at Pop, with code QXZ. It's only $500 more than our original reservation - so all six of us will eat for the week, at Disney, for only $500!!!!:cool1:  :cool1:

Wow! I can hardly believe it!!!

By the way - that means our "DGL" rooms have opened up now...

Does anybody know if this will open up in a couple of days to the rest of us who don't have a Disney Visa? :confused3

can anyone else confirm that the all star resorts are cheaper than POP? we don't really want to switch, but if it were significantly cheaper we might consider.

as for room discount, we did get one. i'm not sure how much, but by looking at the disney website, the room/tickets were about $1250 or so and we are paying $1116 for our package w/ dining.

oh yeah, in just checking the disney site, they don't have any standard rooms at POP from 12/14-12/21.
