Disney Visa/DVC promo ?

This is a duplicate post - this is also posted on the DVC forum...

First off I apologize if this is a sticky somewhere and I missed it.

We are Disney Visa cardholders and are pursuing buying into DVC via a resale managed through Timeshare Closing Services. Assuming that I can pay my contract via Disney Visa (TBD when I contact TCS tomorrow), would the 0%, 6 month promo rate apply? How would Disney Visa (now Chase Bank) know this was a DVC contract purchase?

Also - if we make other purchases on the card, is the $$ we pay booked to the DVC purchase first THEN the purchases (lowest rate first)? We typically pay off monthly but use our card for everything so we get the pts.

Anyone have any ideas? I called Disney Visa but they were clueless and sent me to DVC who, of course, had no clue about CHASE'S offering!

P.S. We plan to pay off the balance in full in 6 months and could pay cash now but if we have the opportunity to use our card and get reward pts AND have them hold the debt for 6 months while our money continues to collect interest that's a better deal.

I don't think the promo would apply to a resale purchase. The promo is between Chase Visa and DVC. DVC is not involved with a resale purchase, only on original purchases. Resales are actually DVC's competition.
