Hi,

Just did online check-in for our upcoming stay at Aulani! Was wondering if there is any advantage to charging items purchased while there to the Disney Visa or not. I can't remember if there is. If not, I will use another card that does give extra points for purchases at a hotel while traveling.

It's 2% if you have the Disney Premiere Visa If you have the regular no fee card it's 1%

The Disney Visa website lists a 10% discount off shopping at Aulani:
Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa, Ko Olina, Hawai‘i
Receive 10% off select merchandise purchases of $50 or more at select locations at Aulani

Be aware that you may need to actually use the card at the time of purchase, not just charge to your room, to get the discount. I know that is true at WDW, not sure about Aulani.

Enjoy your vacation!

VS a non rewards card sure, you get 1 or 2 % depending on which card you have.

However, it is easily outclassed by travel cards or even cash back cards such as: CSR (3x UR) CSP (2x UR) Citi Double cash (2 percent cash back) Venture and Arrival + (2 percent statement credit toward travel) just to name a few.

That's what I thought. We have the DVC discount, so using one of my travel cards will have better rewards.
