Are there any Disney Visa advantages at Disneyland? Last year at Disney World we had a Character experience using our Visa that was great. My two year old had Mickey and Goofy all to himself for a half an hour or so. We got some great pictures and he had a blast.

They have a meet and greet at Ariel's Grotto at California Adventure. It is in the morning from park opening until (I think) 11:30 a.m. We have done this several times. The characters have been chip & dale, or mickey and goofy. They also offer the coupon for the free 5x7. Lots of fun, and personal interaction with the characters. :thumbsup2

I also believe we were entitled to (two) free strollers rentals in the parks.

I thought I read somewhere that you can get free stroller rentals with your Disney Visa card. Is that true?

Is it worth it to not bring your own stroller if you use theirs for free? We plan on going to San Diego after Disneyland, but we're going to be doing more relaxing at the beach than anything else. We thought maybe we'd bring our own car seat on the plane for the rental car instead of bringing our own stroller.

We did the Character meet last year at Ariel's Grotto. It sure wasn't very advertised there. We had to ask where it was located at (didn't know if it was outside or in). So they took us down to meet them. We were the only ones there. We met with Goofy and Mickey (who we had hoped to meet with). They interacted with us for quite some time. It was cute they were dressed in "beach" attire. Goofy in his swim suit. LOL

And of course we got the free 5x7 picture. We got that one and bought one that was taken with all of us. It was a lot of fun, like having your own private meeting with them! :)

You also save 10% off of purchases totalling $50 or more at most of the stores (in the parks). I try to buy everything at once to be sure and get the discount. You don't have to charge your purchase on the card, just show it. That is a great perk for me:thumbsup2

Depends on how old your children are and how much use you would get out of it. From my understanding, if you rent a stoller in DL and you want to go to DCA for a bit, you have to return it before leaving. I also remembering you could only get two free stroller check outs...meaning you return it, you can only check one more out for free. If you have a smaller stroller of your own and you can pack it in your car, I would take your own...IMO.

No, You cannot use your Disney Visa when trying to buy a balloon, i can not stress that enough! You people should know why!

i think you get points per $... then you can use them to buy tickets and such...

Unless it is at park closong time you can take the stroller back and forth between the two parks. Just not to DTD..

For the Character interaction it is inside Ariels Grotto which is on Paradise pier.

Just wanted to add that here is a link to many of the perks you receive at Disneyland. The title of the page has Disneylands 50th, but all the expiration dates are for Sept 07. http://disney.go.com/visa/disneyland50th/

Also, as for right now, the stroller rental is inbetween both parks, so you can go back and forth between the parks with the same stroller, just not through downtown disney.

I wasn't really sure about the rented strollers going in and out, thanks for clarifing that. It wouldn't make sence to have to return and then rerent at the next gate.

Actually, one you check out your one or two free strollers, all you have to do is keep your receipt and claim check. If you return your stroller and need to pick up up at the other park, just show your receipt and you will be given the number of strollers on your receipt. Also, if your stroller is "taken" by someone else, you can pick up a replacement stoller at several places inside each park (other than the front gate).

This was very helpful when we took the DL Train from New Orleans Square for what we thought was a round-trip, but the train was closed down when we reached Tomorrowland (for an ambulance to cross the track for an emergency). Anyway, we were all de-boarded (without a stroller). We just took our receipt inside one of the shops in Tomorrowland and got our replacement stroller...no questions asked! :cheer2:

I know you get a 10% off discount at the Rancho Del Zocale in DL, the mexican place if I got the name wrong.

For this discount as well as the discount for 10% off $50 or more you only need to show your DV not pay with it. Some CM's try to make you also pay with your DV.
