has anyone ever bought and used twilight tickets? We are getting them via a wedding discount as my brother in law is getting married there next week. The tickets say they can be used after 4pm or within 4 hours of park closing whichever is earliest.

My question is will they let us in after 4pm or do we really have to wait until 4 hours to park close? If the park closes at 10pm that means we would get 6 hours in park. I guess I am just trying to figure out how strictly they enforce the 4pm or 4 hour rule.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

We've used them for Gay Days. You absolutely can enter after 4 PM; we've never encountered a problem with that. Of course, you may want to call, just to be sure. Have fun, and congrats on your BIL wedding!

If the ticket says "after 4pm, or within 4 hours of closing, whichever is earlier", then you get to do whatever is earlier.... So, 4pm would be earlier if closing was 12a, but if it was closing at, say, 7pm (I haven't seen this!) then it would be usable at 3pm per the "4 hours before closing" rule.

I think the only time that you would need to use the 4-hour rule would be if Disneyland were closing early for a special event (a private event, a Halloween party, or May 23 - as they will be closing at 7 pm on that date (possibly in preparation for the 24-hour event starting the next morning)). In general, just plan on 4 pm.

OHHHHH ok i read that wrong. I read it to where it meant if the park closes at 10 then you can go in at 6pm. In other words I read that you could only be there for 4 hours.

the exact wording is as follows "valid after 4:00 p.m. or up to four (4) hours before park closing, whichever is earlier" help me understand how to read this.

You can always go in at 4:00. If the park happens to close before 8:00, you can go in earlier than 4:00 (4 hours before park close).

for us they let us in at exactly 4 pm, I love twilight tickets, day disney is just too hot for me

Unfortunately twilight tickets are only offered through some conventions or special events, like the PP's family wedding.

You can't buy them at the gate or online, unless you belong to a group who qualifies for them.

As for pricing, last time I checked they were $52 for one park or $76 for a hopper. I have no idea if Twilight prices went up with today's overall increase though.

Really what it comes to is, "you get in at 4 PM, unless the park is closing before 8 PM. If the park closes before 8 PM, you get in 4 hours before closing."

So you get in at 4 PM unless that would give you less than 4 hours. Then you get 4 hours.

Just a note.... these tickets are only for people who are going to conventions/events. I've included a link to the site.
