Disney Treat Bags (Teens)

We do a surprise bag for the first night and then little goodies appear on their pillows each night. It sounds silly to write but I have pillow cases made (I don't sew). We've done this for several years for all sorts of special occasions. My teens now KNOW they are coming but still like the surprise of seeing what material and trimmings will be used. They're Mickey cases this year.

Penlights, flashlights
Small deck of Mickey Mouse playing cards from Cracker Barrel Restaurant
Cheap handheld electronic games for waiting in lines
Teen daughter received a ebay gift card to find her "perfect" backpack to carry in the parks.
Hair ribbons with little Mickeys on them
Baseball cap
Avon lip balm in disney cases .99
Postcards and stamps to send to friends and family at home.

Since you are a fellow Ontarian, I would recommend Dollarama as it had tons of Disney items for $1 (that's only about 75 cents US:lmao: ) For my US friends, it's worth the trip . . . throw on your parka and come on over for the deals;)

Dollarama has a whole bunch of stationery-related items and the cutest round lipbalm, hair accessories, mini change purses, frames, etc. You can FILL the bags for cheap!!!

Also, if you go to Claire's, they have wonderful Pirates items that can be added (If they like POTC). I just bought my kids replicas of the necklace that Elizabeth Swan wears! (buy one get one 1/2 off) Claire's also has a lot of pirate items for .99.

I am also subscribing to this thread.
I think I will do up something like that for DS 11.
I am getting excited just thinking of all the stuff I can put together.
Thanks for the great ideas!
Should I give it to him for Easter or wait until we leave?
He actually graduates from 5th grade the day we start on our trip.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!

4daubers I love the idea of the pillow cases. I thought of doing this and having them waiting on their own beds at home with a note from Mickey saying Miss you come back soon or some thing like that. I never thought of doing it at the resort. Do you use their pillows? Does house keeping just leave them on?
Thanks Hope you have a good trip!

Teen Bags! We have a Save a Lot and this last week they had Mickey suckers, cheapie ones in a bag with other soft candie. They also had some pens and pencils and a ton of stickers. The stickers are very cute! They would be good to decorate bags ect.
Happy Packing All! Nettii:goodvibes

Thank you fellow Dis'ers !! :cool1: As always, these ideas are fantastic and very creative. We are taking our second family Disney trip in August and I thought DDs (14 and 11) were past the thrill of treat bags. Wow, am I wrong. Perhaps this will bring some youth back to my "talking back, attitude filled" 14 yo. :rotfl:

My girls loved the glow earrings that I found at the dollar store. I bought several earrings, bracelets and necklaces and did what pp did, let the girls give them to some children who loved their earrings.

the 20 questions hand held game is always fun to do while waiting in line. My DD(13) and DS(11) love theirs.

What I am doing for each if our teen's Easter baskets at WDW - DS game, Chocolate bunny, Pirate of Caribbean book marks (barnes & noble had them), and something small from the resort gift shop. :goodvibes

Today Target had nylon Pirates bags with Jack Sparrow on the front for $1, and little spiral-bound Pirates notebooks. Also found tiny Disney digital cameras- really cute!

I also ordered books from Amazon: a disney trivia book, one on Imagineering, and the Star Wars Visual guide by DK (They make the Eyewitness books which are fabulous). We will be there during Star Wars Weekends. Plus, we all just like Star Wars!

Also, picked up a 20 questions game and the little bottles of hand sanitizers that clip to the outside of their fanny packs. Thanks for the tips!

netti - we bring our own pillows but I bet WDW housekeeping would leave them on.
