Disney travel insurance problems?

Have any of you ever had problems with Disney's Travel Insurance or Small World Vacations?

Here's the short version. I booked thru small world vacations. I specifically asked for travel insurance, which she recc. and advised several times that I would be staying in Florida after the Disney part. DS even went on to Hawaii.

It's been about 5 days since I check out of Disney and am in Miami, going back to Orlando tomorrow. Now I'm ill and needed to go to an urgent care clinic. AIG/Disney say I have no insurance and the travel agent says I should have called the insurance company b-4 paying.

There are no dates of coverage on the flyer and I can't find a single mention of anything saying it only covers me while at a Disney Resort.
Travel Agent at Small World Vacations wants absolutely nothing to do with me.

It was more expensive than if I had booked apart. Am I crazy, did travel agent book wrong dates or should she at least have notified me of the limited dates?

I am having a very hard time right now dealing with the insurance. First, my daughter got sick and we had to bring her to an urgent care clinic. Unfortunately, the ear infection she had two prior to our trip didn't respond to amoxicillin, so she then had a double ear infection. Then, my mom calls to tell us that my dad was in the ICU and they weren't sure he was going to survive. So, of course we got in the car and drove home. (He is doing OK now, left the ICU after 10 days but is now awaiting tests on his heart.) I contacted the insurance company to get my $ back for the night unused and maybe my tickets, and the amount of paperwork my parents and my dad's doctor have to fill out it ridiculous! I don't want to upset them anymore and add more paperwork to their growing pile from their own insurance company, but sheesh! I think I would rather loose the $ at this point then subject my parents to the paperwork.
When I called they wanted to know the date I paid for the insurance, the type of insurance I bought, how much I paid for it. All I know is that I booked it with my trip through Walt Disney Travel. The insurance should make things easier, but it is proving to be more trouble than it is worth!
