Disney Transfers

Just a few questions about getting to the airport...

At what time do the Disney buses leave the pier for the airport? I have never used the bus transfers in the past, always had a car. We booked our own airfare, so do we just pick up our luggage and take it to the bus or because we have transfers is the luggage handled for us?

delta used to be able to check in at pier. Are they not doing it anymore?

American, United, US air, Northwest, and Continental have luggage check in at the pier so you can go tho their representatives and do your whole airport check in before leaving the peir (they will check your luggage and gice you your boarding pass just like if you were at the airport).

All airlines stopped port luggage checkin immediately after 9/11. The four airlines 999ghsts mentioned reinstated it just a couple weeks ago. Delta has not yet done so.

Hi Everyone.

I asked Delta about this at MCO airport on our way home. (Jan 13) They told me they hope to be back out there Apirl 2002. Now, I don't know if this is true. But, I sure hope so.

What if you booked your own air with no transfers. Can you still approach the airline reps at terminal and check bags in with them?

Our return flight is not until that night and it would be nice not to have to handle the bags all day.

We had a late flight, also. Delta wouldn't let us check in our luggage untill 4 hours before our flight. There was 8 of us and 4 were kids. Delt kindly changed our flights so we could go to WDW for the day. We stayed at the Hyatt for 129.00 and rented a car.
It beat sitting there for 8 hours. We left early Sun Morning.
