Also, what's the over under on the new insight being something anyone with half a brain already knows?
Either that, or it will be something dumb like Character Caravan.

The idea that they are going to actually announce anything of actual interest is silly. They don't do that anymore.

There is zero chance that anything of substance or real interest to us will be anounced. The speculation that Disney will be doing anything to offset HP at Universal is just left field, IMO.

But I have to say I never received a free churro in my visits to Disney these past two years...My daughter got a...Pin last weekend...Oh what a cherished keepsake that will be.

look my first post... aren't you all excited I really hope it would be a huge, fabulous announcement about a theme park buy out or even a new theme park, but like a lot of people have already said I doubt it will happen. I wish they'd buy out sea world and universal... then the hopper would cover them all .

The "first" could be the first Disney Vacation Club on the Monorail system -- especially if sales of the Villas at Disney's Contemporary Resort will begin soon.

Disney does not typically hold big media events to announce far-off future projects that won't generate revenue until a few years later and that don't need free publicity in the Travel sections of various newspapers and magazines.

Has anyone heard, do they really think people will buy DVC Contemporary at $150 per point?

Not sure if it matters but DVC member services closed all of a sudden at 2:00 today without giving any real reason.

O.K. so getting into the parks for free on your birthday is what all the fuss was all about? That's nice, but not particularly helpful for us, given all the birthdays in our household are during periods when the kids are in school and no, we are not pulling them out to go on vacation. Maybe Disney was thinking this gimmick would change that?

Yeah... they should open a park in Syracuse to go along with DestiNY USA You wouldn't need to go to WDW to see snow on Main Street at Christmas!

I will have to agree here with ill. I think it is safe to say that vmk was pretty much the best game ever! I am sorry if u never got to play it because u did in fact miss out. If u love disney then i promise you that you would have loved vmk too.

It was a Disney themed virtual chatroom with minigames where a bunch of older Disney nerds tried to mix with tween and teen Disney nerds. It was kinda fun for the first couple of weeks I guess. My wife did some of the DL park stuff, but already had a chatroom to discuss disney with my friends and real pictures of the real parks, so the whole virtual space was kind of silly to me.

Still, had they been smart about it, it could have been very cool.
