Hey! My family and I are about 40 days out for our trip. We have a room-only reservation at All-Star sports, and we already made the 60 day FP reservations. But we are thinking of staying off property at an Airbnb because more family members are planning to join us! We are NOT trying to game the system, but when should I cancel my reservation?
If I cancel the room ASAP, will my fastpasses disappear right away? And will I be able to book again at the 30 day mark? Or will it take a few days before the 60-day FPs disappear??
What happens if I cancel the room AFTER the 30 days out (for example 21 days out) from the trip? Will I get to keep the FPs or will they get deleted and I’ll have to start all over?
I’m trying to do the best (and most honest) thing to not screw myself over in this fastpass situation! Any advice?
Depends on your tolerance for risk. Given the reports so far, you may not lose them at all.
And this is what bugs me. People have legitmate reasons to change their mind. I’ve changed my family’s Spring Break hotel (not Disney related) three times because I keep finding something I like better. That’s why is weird to have this “perk” tied to a hotel stay. They should just separate the perk from the lodging all together IMHO.
