I am new at this! Someone who works with my husband mentioned to him that when he went to Disney with his family, he was able to upgrade his ticket for a lifetime ticket. Is this for real? Is there such a thing? If so, does anyone know how much it costs? Thanks so much.

Never heard of such a thing. I have heard of an Annual Pass, but that's only good for 1 year.

Or maybe, they were referring to the fact that if you get a 5-day ticket and use only (let's say) 4 days, then you have until basically forever to use the 1 day left.

As long as the no-expiration feature is added.

 First of all, WELCOME! pixiedust:
Yes, many years ago, I remember hearing about the Lifetime Passes. Geez, if I only knew how much money I'd spend on AP's over the past 10 years, I would have gotten one!!! :smooth:

I remember reading on some Disney site where back in the early 80s they offered a lifetime parks pass for $150. Can you imagine?!!

Now I think it is just the no expiration option.

If that's the case, though, surely someone on this board would have one... right?

We went to WDW Sept 29-Oct. 2. We had a three day park hopper that was part of our package. We did not use one of the days because we went to Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween party instead. So, before we left WDW I added two more park hopper days, no expiration for myself and my daughter (5) for $150.00. Don't ask how the calculations were done, all I know is that the CM knew excactly what she was doing but she lost me a few times in explaining it :confused3 !! All in all we now have a three day park hopper again with no expiration! I'm pretty excited, that just means I now have to return to WDW :cheer2:

I'm curious about that myself. Any of the ticket experts have anymore info?
I do remember that such a thing existed, I really have no idea of the price though.

I heard about this too. I would pay for them even if the prices were a little higher. It would save a fortune.

john stamos has one, that where i heard about it.
"Stamos is a huge fan of Disneyland and holds a lifetime pass to the park." from wikipedia.com
i bet you cant buy them, maybe he got one from like donating alot of money or something.

I remember reading on the boards earlier this year, that someone was a certain number of guest at Disneyland (you know, like the 1,000,000th guest... but I don't remember what number).. and the entire family was given lifetime passes.

Plus he's done so many shows for ABC - even actors for shows and movies are given the same priveleges as cast members. Could be a "thank you" for doing shows for Disney/ABC.

Wow - I certainly would have saved a ton of money for my family of 5 if we could have gotten Lifetime passes!!!

If this were true...why did no one take advantage of it? $150 is not that much in the grand scheme of things!

Funnily enough a guy that I work with is off to WDW next month and was saying he has lifetime passes along with his brother and parents from years ago. I thought it was the non expiration feature that he was talking about but he said no it is a lifetime pass. Was I jealous???? Of course I was!

See if you can get that guy to bring the pass in and show it to you. Maybe let you take a digital photo of it. I'd be interested in seeing what a lifetime pass looks like (if you get a pic of it just blot out the serial number and other info on the back before posting).
