Dh's birthday is coming up. We haven't been able to afford a trip to WDW this year and will not be going back until we are debt free. (We're VERY excited about this!!) I like doing theme gifts and this year he's getting a Disney theme. I'm very excited so I wanted to share! :cool1:

I picked up a Perry grocery bag at the Disney store to use as the gift bag.

I got him a Cars dry-erase board for $1 for his office. Silly, but it's useful and it was a dollar. ;)

At the Disney store I found a Cars lidded cup that will be perfect for serving his bourbon in bed. (The cat knocked over a cup last week and it was a mess. I was afraid it would make the bedroom smell like a 1800's English Gentlemen's Club [Adventurer's Club?] but we cleaned it up before it soaked in and sprayed the bed with some nice lavender water.) It would be nicer if the cup was glass but I don't think they make glass sippy cups for alcohol. :rotfl2:

OK, those are the silly gifts. Now comes the good stuff!

I just found (after stalking ebay and amazon for a week or two) the Fantasia and Fantasia 2000 pack on blu-ray for $15. Woot!! :woohoo: He'll be thrilled.

When we go to WDW we get coffee mugs. These are our favorite souvies. Every night we have tea or hot cocoa and it's so nice remember our trips and adventures this way. Often we'll set our sights on a particular mug that we've either seen on-line or heard of and spend days wandering the parks searching for it. It's really special to us. In 2009 we got a mug in the England pavilion that had the silhouette of Pooh and friends on the blustery day with a sunset of colors in the background. DH loved this mug above all others. A few years ago the mug broke. For his birthday I called Disney merchandising (in Cali... Florida was sold out) and they are shipping me a new one! I also ordered the Mary Poppins mug of the same line. Here's a picture of the Poppins mug (thanks MRYPPNS!). I couldn't find a pic of the Pooh mug anywhere.

The last gift in the bag is a bit of a Disney stretch. A few weekends ago DH and I went to a Steampunk Festival in a neighboring city. While there we attended a Pastis and Absinthe tasting and lecture. DH enjoyed Pastis so I'm getting him a bottle. Absinthe is often called the Green Fairy. I figured the two liquors are close enough in origin that it's OK to put a Green Fairy on a bottle of Pastis. I'm going to print this out on a tag and tie it around the neck of the bottle. I may edit it a little so it says Pastis.

So, that is my Disney-themed gift. A little goofy, a little sweet and a little sophisticated.

I would love to hear about your Disney-themed gifts - either past, present, future or ones you would like to receive. :flower3:

Thank you for reading.

I just took a walk over to the bookstore near work and found two books in the clearance bin that I scooped up for DH's gift.

Peter and the Secret of Rundoon for $2.99, hardcover (we already have the first two in the series so this is perfect!)

The Little Green Book of Absinthe for $2.25, also hardcover.
