Disney stroller rentals question

We had planned on bringing our own stroller with us, but we realize now we're just not going to have room in the car to bring it with us. I'm looking at renting from Orlando Stroller Rentals, but to have it available for the days we need it, we have to choose the 8-10 night option, at a cost of $85, so no cheaper than just renting it each day we need one at Disney, plus then we have the hassle of driving it to a drop-off location.

So we'll just use the ones in Disney. So... what should we know about them? I know they're the hard plastic ones, are they awkward/hard to push around? Do they offer any storage? Anything we should bring for them? Do they offer rain covers for them? I'm assuming the place to rent them is right inside the gates?

Also, an odd question, but what do you do with your stroller when you go to a restaurant within the park? Do they have stroller parking?

I haven't rented the Disney ones, but as the person pushing that beast around, I'd much prefer the air tires and easy push/steering of a city mini for the same price. Plus you get a great shade canopy, rain cover, recline option if the kids want to nap. We stay onsite so Kingdom strollers or Orlando Stroller rental drop off and pick up at the resort, but you may be off site? Another thing to think about is with the parks stroller, you can't take it out of the parks at the end of the day (or beginning) to walk to/from the parking lot (or in our case, Bay Lake Towers) to
/from the parks. At the end of a long park day, that walk to the car with a tired child and all of your stuff can be excruciating! My kids loved the soft padded seats instead of hard plastic. I likes the cup holders, large storage basket and easy push. They typically fell asleep in the stroller by day's end and we just pushed them back to the hotel or right on the monorail! These are just my thoughts and I know others here have liked the parks strollers.

I just happened to email the place where we're renting our house - and they provide strollers! Happy dance!

I know you've gotten your answer since your rental place has them for for others, if you rent from Disney World, you get the stroller from when you enter the park to when you leave the park. So going from your resort/hotel to transportation to the entrance of the park, you child will need to walk or be carried. And on the reverse as well. Offsite rentals will have that stroller for you usually from the moment you check into your resort/hotel (they deliver to offsite places too) until the moment you check out.

Disney restaurants have stroller parking just like all attractions.

I don't find the Disney strollers difficult to push, they worked fine for me. They do have a partial canopy for shade . .. it can also be dropped, there is a lever under the edge of the stroller, most people seem not to know about, a CM once showed us. They give you a paper tag to color, which is your stroller ID. This is how you figure out which stroller out of the 500 parked in front of Small World is yours. We made our own at home, and laminated them for rain protection. It made it a LOT easier to figure out which stroller was ours from a distance.
