Disney stores closing

I believe West Farms is the only one open at this point. Unfortunately that's almost an hour drive for me, but it just might be worth it.

Hello from a Milfordite!

There was a lot of chatter here when the closings were announced... very sad for all the shoppers and the employees!

I know the store at the Milford mall is gone ....
but I thought the Trumbull store was still there?

Anyone know??

For those close to RI, the one at the Warwick Mall is still open.I just was there on Monday. I asked the CM working there and she says they will not be closing this one.

We go to Mystic Aquariam all the time and from Warwick it only takes us about 35 minutes. So this one maybe closer to you.

We are in Utica. The one in Carousel Mall is still open though.

Hi! That was our Disney Store too!! We are down in Ilion.

I miss getting my Disney fix. LOL I only went to the mall ,mainly for the Disney Store and Target, but since it closed, I haven't been much at all. One of these days we will have to beck up to Syracuse and go to that store. It's been almost 2 weeks since we got back from WDW and I am really needing some Disney.

There is a good one open in the Pheasant Lane Mall in Nashua NH, was just there not too long ago........about 1/2 hr from me....I'd be SOOOOOO sad if it closed....has a great selection and Disney Dollars everytime I go.....wicked nice store, DD3 LOOOOOVES it!!!! It makes me happy to go there!!!!

LOL! I just got back from the Disney store in Farmington, Ct! Next time(i have learned), I WILL NOT BRING MY KIDS! What a miserable couple! They both threw tantrums and as it was, it was a looonnnggg trip to and from! Never again will I bring my kids on a shopping excursion again!
And not to mention, their Disney Dollar selection was limited to 1's and
5's!!!
But at least I got my Disney fix! For now anyway...

HaHa! I haven't been to a Disney Store in years. In fact, by the way things are looking I don't bekieve I ever wikk again(Besides the stores at Walt Disney World ofcourse).

I went to the VA Beach, Lynnhaven mall location last night. It is open but it is the WORST disney store I have ever been in. It was small and disorganized. They had nothing for anyone but very young kids. Some toys, kids clothes and costumes. Not much else. I was very disappointed. No disney magic in this part of the world!

There is still one open in the Rockingham Mall in Salem NH too. Sadly the one in Burlington MA closed.

They closed because they were losing money. I used to work for TDS back when there were almost 600 stores. Oversaturation was a problem. Their big thing now is licensing. They license out everything so you can get Disney stuff everywhere. Walmart, Target, Babies R Us. It is less expensive in operating costs that way. When I worked there, people used to complain that the merchandise was too expensive and that they could get it cheaper somewhere else. Well, I guess that is what happened.

Too bad. I am lucky to still have a store only 10 minutes away.

If you are in the Allentown, pa area..The one in the Lehigh Valley Mall is still open (or as of 2 weeks ago was). I did see the store in the Park City Mall in Lancaster, PA is Closed (was in that area on vacation in Jan.). My DS 2.5 loves to just go inot the store and just go nuts (my wallet hates it though!!)

did they have anything good on clearance? Anything worth me driving almost an hour to check it out???

I know other stores sell disney stuff, that's great and all, but it's just not he same as going to a real Disney Store!

I live in VA Beach not far from Lynnhaven Mall, and it is indeed open.
Does anyone know WHY so many of them are closing?

I just found out that TDS in Mayfair Mall (Milwaukee, WI) closed. Called the one at Southridge Mall and asked if they were closing anytime soon. They said that the are still open! I am going down there tomorrow!

The Disney store has been shut down at our mall and I can't believe it. I am so upset and disapppointed. then I went to visit my grandparents in Connecticut and we went to the mall and their Disney store was gone,too.

Hi just a note that I beleive that the Disney store in the West Farms Mall in West Hartford still has one and supposedly it will stay open I don't know if that helps good luck
