Disney stores closing

Ours (10 minutes away)closed a couple months ago but we still have one that's an hour away. My DD is still disappointed everytime we go to the mall.

I'm in MA and the one in our local mall closed last year. I'm hoping West Farms is still open, because despite the bit of a drive, I planned on getting some Disney dollars there as stocking stuffers! It was still open over the summer.

The Disney Store OUTLET :teeth: is still open in the Potomac Mills Mall (right off of I95 about 30 minutes south of DC).

Tysons Corner - right off of the DC Beltway(I495, Western half) - still has their Disney Store.

agnes!

I believe West Farms is the only one open at this point. Unfortunately that's almost an hour drive for me, but it just might be worth it.:confused3

Hey where in CT are you anyway? You said waterford so i am guessing that area? I am from Mystic!

Oooh I LOVE Mystic! Got married there. :-) I'm about 40 min. from you in northeast CT. Glad we hav e aconfirmed sighting of the West Farms store! Where's Chester? Must not be too close to me if I don't know where it is.:rotfl:

I was told that there is still one open in VA Beach at Lynnhaven Mall. I have not been there yet.

As far as I know, there are still 3 open in San Antonio (Rivercenter Mall, Northstar Mall, Ingram Park Mall) and an outlet in San Marcos.

There is also one in Ft Myers, FL at Edison Mall and one in Estero,FL at Coconut Point.

I believe in South Jersey they still have them in Atlantic City and at Deptford Mall.

I have been pretty lucky in being able to find a store but there are not as many as around as there used to be. It sometimes makes the decision as to what mall I go to!

I used to love the old one at 12 Oaks (before they moved it)!!! It was so huge. The newer one was nice too (pretty fitting room) and I was sad to see it close. I grew up near there and my grandma still lives there and would go there to get my girls stuff there. Mine are all gone too so I was hoping at least hers would stay open.

BTW, I grew up in Plymouth. My first job was at 12 Oaks (The Limited.)
I'm sad about the one at Twelve Oaks closing, too. We just moved to this area this summer (from Tennessee). We went there once right before they closed and got lots of good deals on clearance, but I was so sad to find out that right when we finally moved close to TDS it was going out of business.

BTW, Plymouth is such a nice town. We went to the park there once this summer (the one with the water spray scape) with our girls and we loved it! The downtown area is so lovely, too.

We love Mystic too! Esp the aquarium! Chester is next to Deep River and Essex - and not too far from Old Saybrook. Not many people know where we are - the town bumper stickers say "Chester - we know where it is" :rotfl2:

I'm from NC - just checked with the one in Raleigh. It is still open - I'm glad because I wanted to buy my daughters some Disney Dollars for our trip at Xmas!!!!

We are in Utica. The one in Carousel Mall is still open though.

OK, I was thinking this side of town for some reason. Yes, that is still open but a good hour and 15 from us, with gas prices so high, it's not too likely I will get there too often. Well, hello from Rochester...

Oh, so you never saw the BIG one they used to have. It was amazing... It was right under the Build A Bear... it was really nice.
Yes, Plymouth is nice. We get home once a year or so and always take the kids to that park (McClumpha). We went there twice when we visited this summer. They love going there. It was my favorite park growing up, course it looked nothing like it does now. The only thing the same from when I was a kid is the shelters, the sledding hill, and for some odd reason that big dirt hill the kids like to play on. (I remember playing on that too, weird!)
I don't know if you ever heard of the Plymouth Ice Show. I miss it so much, it is beautiful. Artisits come and the whole downtown is full of amazing ice sculptures. Since you are new to the area maybe you would like to check it out. Info is at

Anyway, hope you enjoy Michigan, and I see you will be in Disney around the same time as us, I hope you and your girls have a great time...

Thanks for the info about the Ice Show!! That's definitely something we would be interested in and we hadn't heard about it yet. There's so much to do around here. We're constantly hearing about something new. We moved here from a very small town that had nothing like this, so all of these new things to do and see are so fun to us! When will y'all be at WDW? We're going November 26-December 6. Maybe we'll pass you in the parks. This will only be our second trip, but we've been bitten hard by the Disney bug. Our whole family loves it!

We will be there from Nov 22 to 30th. We were at POP but moved to ASSp to get the free dining. We love it there too. I had a very good but very lonely chidhood, DH had an awful childhood, so we like to go there and be kids again and also give our kids the childhoods we wished for... There is no better place than Disney for that. So what town do you live in?

I believe in the entire state of Illinois, the only ones open are in the Chicago area. And to top it off, those of us who live in the west-side of the state can't even use the Davenport, IA store, because that closed as well!:headache: A REAL bummer! But I totally understand the business side of the decision--the smaller stores around our area had a limited inventory and it never seemed to change much.
