Disney store discount

Does anyone else have trouble using the DVC Disney store discount at the Disney store retail locations??
Every time I go, I get told they don't accept it. And then I need to get a manager and then they disappear in the back for 10 minutes to come out and confirm that yes they do take it.
So why the post? Well I am headed to our local Disney store this morning with the new discount and hoping that I do not to go through the ordeal again.

I have never had a problem in the UK but usually they have to get a manager to put the discount through as the cashiers are not authorised to do it.

I have used mine several times and never had an issue. I also used it at the outlets stores (one in OH, one in SC and one in TN) with no issues. I wonder if the store you are going to isn't training it's employees.

You can't use your DVC card. Usually there is a promo code on the DVC website.

And this morning i had no problems at all as the CM remembered me. Lol!!!!

I never knew nor was I told abut any DVC discount. They did tell me that if I bought $50 using a Disney Visa card there was a discount. I asked about any other discounts and they said there were no others.

I've never had a problem with the discounts I've printed from the member site and tried to use in the stores. Normally they just look to make sure my purchase falls under whatever the minimum buying guide lines are and they just scan them paper . I sounds a lot like your store might need a little more training.

You have to print the coupon/barcode to use it in the store. You cannot just show your membership card.

If you have the coupon there should be no problem.

I do bring in the coupon. It used to take awhile but I think I finally have them trained

If there are any discounts available it will be on our disneyvacationclub.com membersite under the "perks" section. Right now there isn't one unfortunately.

You're not wrong or confused- it just isn't offered right now. They did have a code back in Dec. I have a smart phone so I always log in right before I go into the store to see if there's a new code out. Lately it's just been crickets singin' at me.

In the UK we just show our DVC card to get the discount. Will check before I go in April if there are any discounts on the DVC member site.Thanks for that as thought it would be like the UK and just have to show the card.

I read the perks and it said all you needed was the card. I was so excited my first trip to our local store after joining in Feb. I asked and they said they don't accept it in Canada. Seems we always get shafted up here.
