Disney Store Costumes

How do the costume sizes run from the Disney store? I plan on ordering one for DD but I'm not sure if I should get a 2T or 2/3? DD still fits in 18 months but is wearing some 24 months now.

Is there any way you could get to a store and try one on? If not, the items we purchased there ran pretty true to size, but most kids don't like anything tight, so I'd go with one size larger. Also, we sometimes had to layer underneath the costume for warmth and the dreaded "this itches", so a little give was always appreciated.

They are very generously sized! I ordered DD a Roo costume when she was 18 months, the 18M size, and she still wore it when she was 3!
Of all the costumes i have ever ordered or bought from the Disney store, the Ariel is the only one that the size was about accurate. And it was made to be tight fitting, so it hardly lasted one night.

It seems like they run pretty true to size. Our girls are petite, and the 2/3 was fine for them, but our oldest wanted to wear the Jasmine costume at 4 and it was just too short/small!

we found that they run small for the sizes in costumes. DD 7 would normally wear a 7-8 size of clothing but costumes at disney store she needs a 10-12 for it to fit properly. Acutally in all the clothing at the disney store she's needed to go up a size so not sure if it's all their sizes or not.

In other stores she's still in a 7-8.

My DD is a taller 2 1/2 yr old (36.5") who wears size 2T for length. I bought her a 2/3 Princess Aurora costume from Disney and it fits her really well.

I think from the responses that it seems sizes vary. I'd err on the side of caution and go larger. She can always grow into it and it can be adjusted with clips and diaper pins now if need be to fit properly.

The closest store is about 1 1/2 hours away so I'm not sure if we will get there anytime soon. Thanks for the responses. I forgot about layering since it will be cold here by October. I'm going to go with the larger size and that way she can hopefully wear it longer. Has anyone ordered one yet? I can't decide which one to get and DD is no help lol. She likes them all.
