Disney Springs Town Center Grand Opening Mega Thread!!

thanks for posting, I'm nursing a migraine and hoping to be able to make it over tonight to see/grab some dinner.

Here is a Complete Walkthrough of the new Town Center area of Disney Springs in 4K. The video was shot on Opening Day yesterday, and it was a beautiful day!!

I was completely underwhelmed. I was expecting more, but already both sprinkles and dluxe burger have proven totally unable to handle any sort of crowd with long waits at both. How can it possibly be that time consuming to pull a cupcake out of a case and hand it to someone?

Not impressed so far. Will see if it gets better once the rest opens.

Thanks for posting! My daughter and I are excited to see (and shop) this new area.

Opening day crowds are more than usual. Sprinkles was by far the most popular place yesterday. I think what would be telling is if they can't handle crowds in the coming days when the grand opening rush dies down. Sprinkles also had two major lines one to go inside and one for the cupcake ATM. Sprinkles doesn't just do cupcakes either that do ice cream sundaes as well.

Long lines and sprinkles are like peas and carrots...

One follows the other.

I think sprinkles is overrated personally.

Now - ample hills - that's the real deal. Never booking anywhere but boardwalk again :)

Just seeing the pictures, combined with a video that dis unplugged did and I think i'm with Kevin on how I want tomorrowland to be white again. This reminds me of how tomorrowland once was (and the video that dis unplugged had a picture seeing the marketplace next to it reminding me of current tomorrowland...

Looking forward to seeing it, but to be honest I'm not sure there is much I would actually spend money on.

Weird seeing those brand name stores in Disney. Other than that it looks very very nice. Though I'm a big confused about those lights in the middle of the springs near Morimoto Asia, I just don't know why they're there

The lines were poorly managed and I went by several times and every time the line was over the bridge and over to morimoto Asia.

The ATM line should move quickly but it was not. In store line was not moving at all either.

Dluxe burger has only 2 registers and is tiny inside.

It was not what I expected. Compared to ample hills, both stores are way too small and poorly laid out to handle a line and move people through quickly.

Sprinkles was and is expected to be popular. I'm guessing D-Luxe was not expected to be that popular and it's a quick service it's not a sit down meal.

They really have no quickservice there...and they definitely need it/more of it.

Exactly the only quick service I would go to is Wolfgang puck. This offers another great option and really the price isn't terrible.

Really thats not quickserve though...order as you go and a 20 minute prep time isn't really quickserve.

Earl of sandwich and walk up window at bongos is really all
You got.

Yeah, I guess since I have a lot of the stores already around me, and acres of different types of open and closed-air town centers, I'm just kinda meh. Since I travel to Orlando, I wouldn't really shop much, particularly at full price, high end stores. The restaurants are nice, but again, I've got access to many of them where I live (except for the "one of a kind" ones, which might be what interests me the most)...

Im sure your refrain will be common...I'm sure with me.

It's just not that unique...but I'm
Sure many will love it that don't have as much exposure to these names. The question is: will that equal sales. I think this may be window shopping central for many. The airlines penalize you for bags...which is why I have and continue to advocate that Disney work up a shipping system/partnership...combine brick and mortar with Amazon...in a way.

I'm glad it's not gonna be a semi abandoned, mothballed mess anymore...but that is a low standard to meet.

Very common low standards now in the swamp.

Let's face it...most of us will be happy if the avatar thing just works...regardless of what it is.
