Disney Soda Fountain and Studio Store

Hi Everyone, we are planning on stopping here when we fly into LAX, I have heard about it but have not seen a whole lots of pictures of people's yummy treats or heard about the store so was just hoping to see some photos and hear more about it.

The Soda Fountain and Store are located right next to the El Capitan Theater in Hollywood. I've eaten there a couple of times before going to see a movie at the El Capitan. It really is a small place, but I've never seen it too busy and have always been seated immediately. I hear it can get busy right after a movie lets out next door. The store portion takes up only a corner of the place. The food, ice cream and service are fine. It's a nice place to stop and get a bite if you are in the area. But I don't know if I'd go too far out of my way to go there.

Still haven't bought a sundae, but when I went last, all the Nightmare stuff was 50% off. Like Chas mentioned, the store portion is pretty small, but if you're into pin trading, the Soda Fountain releases a lot of exclusive pins.

I'm afraid I didn't take any photos of the food, but I had chilli in a bread bowl and it was delicious

We've gone there a few times, but only when we go to see a movie at El Capitan.

Like ChasRN said, I don't think I'd make a special trip. It's pretty basic ice cream with toppings.

My kids do like getting the soda water with the flavored syrups added. They do offer a special sundae for whatever movie is playing at the El Capitan. It usually comes in a movie themed bowl or with a movie themed pin.
