Disney soaps and shampoo

We recently stayed at POR for 12 nights. Getting new soap and shampoo every day was hit or miss. Sometimes we got new soaps & shampoos. Sometimes we didn't. :confused3

In the past, I didn't use WDW shampoo because I didn't like it. I did like the new H2O shampoo and I used it throughout our trip. We also used the soap and liked that as well.

ETA: We didn't get the cartoon channel in our room.

Do you mean the station the showed all the old Walt Disney cartoons? We loved that too! I can watch Toon Disney and the Disney Channel at home. Sometime between 2003 and 2005 it was eliminated is my best guess.

Yes, the station that ran a loop of old disney cartoons. We loved them. We said the same thing about toon disney and disney channel-

The cartoons ran last Sept. when we were there.

I love the H2O stuff too, and luckily I found a place near me that sells it. It's the only shower gel I use anymore.

If they don't refill it- I would just leave a little note asking for more. I did that once and they put like double of everything each day.

We did the same thing, and got the same result. After running out of shampoo in no time our first night, we left a note asking for extra and from then on, we got two of everything each day. With 2 grown women and 1 very long haired little girl, all of us washing our hair after coming up from the pool each night, we were glad for the extra shampoo and conditioner.

It was running when we were there (at BC) last week. Channel 96, but it isn't listed on the channel guide so I never would have known about it if not for the DIS.

We spent 9 days at Pop and got PLENTY of H20 (brand name) shampoo and soap. I also put it away each night in my luggage. My son and I made 9 decorated Mousekeeping tip envelopes and left them with $$ each day. I think that helped with the extra products being left. H20 brand products were also for sale in the Pop shop, but there was a limited selection. I am an elementary teacher and my students love it when I bring back my Mickey soaps, lotions, etc. and pass them out.

I got new stuff every day last week at the GF. :)
OT here, but just noticed you're also a Delawarean and thought I'd say hi. :flower3:
They are no longer in the Mickey bottles or wrap for soap are they? At least I think I remember reading that they stopped that. I think my DH was really upset about that.
I just found a bunch of those that had been stashed in a drawer from our trip back in '96. No one ever wanted to use the souvenirs after we got them home.

I'm not a 100% sure but maybe it's because you stayed in the cabins.
Did you get daily maid service there?

Just guessing!

yup, daily housekeeping- and they did a great job. Just no soaps/shampoos. :confused3

At CBR last week, we got soap and shampoo every day except for one. I called Mousekeeper and within about 10 minutes somebody showed up at my door with 5 bottles of shampoo/conditioner. The stuff is in blue bottles...is that the H2O stuff?? At the end of the week we had about 6 bottles adn 3 soaps left.

The cartoon channel was running at CBR also. Didn't watch it much because I got sick of watching the same carton all the time. LOL

Just checked out of the Poly this past Monday and we rec'd them every day even tho I wasn't packing them up!!!

I think my DH used the Shampoo while there...

I went to an H20+ store today and they are actually advertising the fact that their Aquatic Natural Spring fragrance is what is used at Walt Disney World. They have a cute little display card that shows the shampoo and conditioner with a little bubble in the shape of Mickey's head. The ad says something along the lines of "as seen at Walt Disney World Resorts".
There is a sale going on right now where you can mix and match 3 items of any scent or product in the Aquatics line for $18.00. I picked up a bottle of hand and nail lotion, body balm and shower gel in the Natural Spring fragrance. Seperately, it would have cost me $35.00 so it's a great deal and I LOVE the smell!

So do they give you Conditioner too? I use TONS to weigh my hair down in the humidity. :) In the past we only got Disney Shampoo and Soap.

Also, do ALL the hotels get the extra H2O goodies? Or is it just the Deluxe hotels that get them?:rolleyes1

Blue bottle combo shampoo/conditioner is Not H20 product. H20 products are clearly marked as such. I had a split stay earlier this month, CSR had H20, POR did not have them-had exactly what you're describing. Here's hoping all the moderates start carrying the nice stuff.

As far as H20, they give a bottle of shampoo, a bottle of conditioner, a bottle of lotion, a nice sized bath bar, and a smaller facial bar soap.

hey-this past July we were at Disney for 11 days. 2 days at Pop we recieved something that was for sure not H2O and then for the 9 days at the Beach Club we recieved the H2O produts. So-it seems like the values don't get them? NOt sure though...

We were at POFQ the night of the 17th and didn't get the H2O product but we did at BCV. We didn't get the lotion or the sun relief though (we did when we stayed at the CR last January).

Dear Maid,

Please do not leave any more of those little bars of soap in my bathroom since I have brought my own bath-sized Dial. Please remove the six unopened little bars from the shelf under the medicine chest and another three in the shower soap dish. They are in my way.

Thank you,
S. Berman

Dear Room 635,

I am not your regular maid. She will be back tomorrow, Thursday, from her day off. I took the 3 hotel soaps out of the shower soap dish as you requested. The 6 bars on your shelf, I took out of your way and put on top of your Kleenex dispenser in case you should change your mind. This leaves only the 3 bars I left today, which my instructions from the management is to leave 3 soaps daily.

I hope this is satisfactory.

Kathy,
Relief Maid

Dear Maid (I hope you are my regular maid),

Apparently Kathy did not tell you about my note to her concerning the little bars of soap. When I got back to my room this evening, I found you had added 3 little Camays to the shelf under my medicine cabinet. I am going to be here in the hotel for two weeks and have brought my own bath-size Dial, so I won't need those 6 little Camays which are on the shelf. They are in my way when shaving, brushing teeth, etc.

Please remove them.

S. Berman

Dear Mr. Berman,

My day off was last Wednesday, so the relief maid left 3 hotel soaps, which we are instructed by the management. I took the 6 soaps which were in your way on the shelf and put them in the soap dish where your Dial was. I put the Dial in the medicine cabinet for your convenience. I didn't remove the 3 complimentary soaps, which are always placed inside the medicine cabinet for all new check-ins and which you did not object to when you checked in last Monday.

Please let me know if I can be of further assistance.

Your regular maid,
Dotty

Dear Mr. Berman,

The assistant manager, Mr. Kensedder, informed me this morning that you called him last evening and said you were unhappy with your maid service. I have assigned a new girl to your room. I hope you will accept my apologies for any past inconvenience. If you have any future complaints, please contact me so I can give it my personal attention.

Call extension 1108 between 8 A.M. and 5 P.M. Thank you.

Elaine Carmen,
Housekeeper

Dear Miss Carmen,

It is impossible to contact you by phone since I leave the hotel for business at 7:45 A.M. and don't get back before 5:30 or 6 P.M. That's the reason I called Mr. Kensedder last night. You were already off duty. I only asked Mr. Kensedder if he could do anything about those little bars of soap. The new maid you assigned me must have thought I was a new check-in today, since she left another 3 bars of hotel soap in my medicine cabinet along with her regular delivery of 3 bars on the bathroom shelf. In just 5 days here, I have accumulated 24 little bars of soap. Why are you doing this to me?

S. Berman

Dear Mr. Berman,

Your maid, Kathy, has been instructed to stop delivering soap to your room and remove the extra soaps. If I can be of further assistance, case call extension 1108 between 8 A.M. and 5 P.M.

Thank you,

Elaine Carmen,
Housekeeper

Dear Mr. Kensedder,

My bath-size Dial is missing. Every bar of soap was taken from my room including my own bath-size Dial. I came in late last night and had to call the bellhop to bring me 4 little Cashmere Bouquets.

S. Berman

Dear Mr. Berman,

I have informed our housekeeper, Elaine Carmen, of your soap problem. I cannot understand why there was no soap in your room since our maids are instructed to leave 3 bars of soap each time they service a room. The situation will be rectified immediately. Please accept my apologies for the inconvenience.

Martin L. Kensedder
Assistant Manager

Dear Mrs. Carmen,

Who the hell left 54 little bars of Camay in my room? I came in last night and found 54 little bars of soap. I don't want 54 little bars of Camay. I want my one damn bar of bath-size Dial. Do you realize I have 54 bars of soap in here. All I want is my bath size Dial. Please give me back my bath-size Dial.

S. Berman

Dear Mr. Berman,

You complained of too much soap in your room so I had them moved. Then, you complained to Mr. Kensedder that all your soap was missing, so I personally returned them. The 24 Camays which had been taken and the 3 Camays you are supposed to receive daily. I don't know anything about the 4 Cashmere Bouquets. Obviously your maid, Kathy, did not know I had returned your soaps, so she also brought 24 Camays, plus the 3 daily Camays. I don't know where you got the idea this hotel issues bath-size Dial. I was able to locate some bath-size Ivory which I left in your room.

Elaine Carmen
Housekeeper

Dear Mrs. Carmen,

Just a short note to bring you up-to-date on my latest soap inventory. As of today I possess:

On the shelf under medicine cabinet - 18 Camay in 4 stacks of 4 and 1 stack of 2.
On the Kleenex dispenser - 11 Camay in 2 stacks of 4 and 1 stack of 3.
On the bedroom dresser - 1 stack of 3 Cashmere Bouquet, 1 stack of 4 hotel-size Ivory, and 8 Camay in 2 stacks of 4.
Inside the medicine cabinet - 14 Camay in 3 stacks of 4 and 1 stack of 2.
In the shower soap dish - 6 Camay, very moist.
On the northeast corner of tub - 1 Cashmere Bouquet, slightly used.
On the northwest corner of tub - 6 Camays in 2 stacks of 3.
Please ask Kathy when she services my room to make sure the stacks are neatly piled and dusted. Also, please advise her that stacks of more than 4 have a tendency to tip. May I suggest that my bedroom window sill is not in use and will make an excellent spot for future soap deliveries. One more item, I have purchased another bar of bath-sized Dial which I am keeping in the hotel vault in order to avoid further misunderstandings.

S. Berman
