As i was dusting my disney snowglobes i noticed one was missing a lot of water. When i looked more closely i found a puddle of water on the furniture. We took th music box part of it out and can now see the water literally dripping out. Anybody ever have this problem? I know they sell kits to fix this type of problem but dont know if they worth it-any suggestions?

I just started a collection of them and so far none of mine has any leaks. 5 of them so far. That is a real shame. I am sorry yours broke.

We have one that is about 8 years old and the water inside has turned a light amber color. Does anyone know if this can be drained and filled with new fluid?

I had one leak in the shopping bag right after we bought it at World of Disney. We walked staight back to the hotel and I always check my purchases and then get them ready for shipping or packing, when I noticed lots of wet items in my bag. I had a triplepack of lollipops that were ruined and the packing around the mini snowglobe was soaked. It had cracked on the way back to the hotel. Must have had a hairline fracture because it was fine and not leaking at all in the store. The only other one was a broken one that arrived that way from Disneyworld shipping.
I love snowglobes too, sorry yours leaked.:( Wow.

Yes - I have one and the water is completely gone in it and has been for quite some time.

DD13 collects snowglobes, probably has about 50 of them with 1/3 or so being Disney ones and so far has only had one leak. It was the very first one she ever got, it has an angel inside it. She decided to keep it even though it is dry because it was her 1st one. It did make a mess though, it must have had a slow leak because we didn't notice it until it was nearly empty. Nothing we could do about it then. Never have tried to fix one, sorry, no help there.

I no longer buy snowglobes because some of mine have "air bubbles" at the top that seem to be getting larger as time goes on, even my expensive Disney ones. :( When I buy them they are 100% full of water, but then as time passes they sometimes get air bubbles and I hate that. :( They are not actually leaking as the shelves are never wet, but maybe the water just evaporates over time? :confused3 It's disappointing though to spend money on them only to have them do that.

I just read an article about a man that fixes snowglobes. I think it said that others do this and you can do a search to find them. The cost was between $15 and $40, don't know if that includes shipping.

I am an avid Disney snowglobe collector, have about 40 of them, and when we moved in July, I noticed there was water missing out of one (about 1/4 missing) and when I picked it up, it was all wet underneath! I found a snowglobe repair place around me, and they were able to fix the leak for me and replace the fluid inside. I know they sell kits where you can do it yourself, but I didn't want to chance it! I think it cost $40 but it was totally worth it to me!
