Or grand Floridian to the DVC villas.would make sense - almost like the walkway from BLT to the Contemporary

I've been calling that it's going to be a covered walkway to the gondola station for a while (maybe 6 months). I still think this will be the case. Prove me wrong.
Will the walkway be air conditioned?

You have won the internet for the day.
Are these from Caribbean beach rooms? If so I didn’t realize how close the DVC was to existing CB buildings

New room categories coming "with easy gondola access."Probably a diving wall but some very close CBR rooms to request by the Epcot gandola.

Yes spot on.That photo looks like it's from the north end of the "Aruba" section of CBR. They actually took out buildings from CBR to build Riviera, that's why it's so close! If DVCs weren't all "Deluxe" instead of CBR's "Moderate," they'd probably group it all as one sprawling resort.

I did find that interesting too as a “private” station I thought would be a perk to RivieraWow, so CBR has the potential to have double access to the gondola...that's interesting.

They razed all of Barbados and half of Martinique on the north end of CBR to make room for Riviera and a new retention pool.
I floated the idea of an underpass earlier, and it was soundly shot down. The station does appear to be slightly above ground level, but not enough to pass under without some serious digging. I think any underpass or overpass would need to be accessible, meaning either long ramps, or elevators on both sides. And not just for handicapped, but strollers too.Covered or not -and certainly covered makes more sense- I think folks will need to enter/exit one side of the Riviera station depending on which direction they want to, or did travel. If coming from Epcot I think Riviera folks will exit on the Epcot/CBR side and have to walk around the station under the CBR “leg” of the line to get to the Riviera walkway. Most of the “walk around” I would guess will be open. Looking at construction photos I don’t think we will be able to enter one side, yet board the far side line. Maybe I’m wrong on that and there will be an “underpass”.
Thanks. I missed your shootingI floated the idea of an underpass earlier, and it was soundly shot down. So what about everyone else? should there be a non covered walkway next to the covered one for us commoners to use?I’d be shocked if the walkway were not covered. We DVC Members don’t deserve to get wet walking from our expensive resort to the station, do we?!
