I've had reservations about the Skyliner but have tried to suppress my anxiety to my husband and son and daughter in law since we do spend a lot of time in the Boardwalk area and World Showcase. Ask a kid in NH, ski lifts and gondolas were a way of life and I never thought about it. I think there was a heater in some gondolas as we were out there in -20+ temperatures...and we didn't even know what "wind chill" was in the 60's and 70's!
I have a nasty case of Chronic Lyme and a couple other issues and get hot very quickly. Being in the FL heat is a challenge, but being in an enclosed space in the heat may be quite serious in my case and for other medical conditions and of course, small kids and the elderly. I can't imagine walking down a ladder (I'm two months out from a knee replacement). I'm sorry for the people that had to endure this. We'll be there in two weeks and won't be using the Skyliner - ever.
